Saturday’s Accumulator Tips
Charlton to beat Blackburn
We start this week’s accumulator with in form Charlton. After a fine start to the season Charlton had a mid-season slump going 14 matches without victory and costing then manager Bob Peeters his job. Guy Luzon has since took over the reins and after a tough start he has got The Addicks playing some good football and they now sit comfortably in mid table. They come up against a Blackburn side also in quite good form but Rovers have a poor record away from Ewood Park winning just once in their last eleven away league outings. Charlton look over priced and will hopefully start our accumulator with a win.
Southend to win away at Dagenham
This Essex derby should be a good battle between two teams with very different priorities this term. Phil Browns Southend sit in the playoff zone and if they could have found some consistency this term then promotion would almost be a certainty. A win here could well get them back in the automatic promotion picture and would at least almost guarantee them a playoff position. Dagenham have been in good form recently and have pulled themselves away from the relegation fight. However it wouldn't take much for The Daggers to get dragged back into the fight for survival and they will find it difficult this weekend against the high flying Shrimpers.
Northampton to beat Tranmere
Northampton have arguably been the form team in League two since the turn of the year losing just two of their twelve matches in 2015. They are putting a late run together towards a play-off place and few would back against Chris Wilder's men getting there if they continue this good run in the coming weeks. The Cobblers come up against a Tranmere side fighting for their League Two lives. The Merseysiders have had a dreadful season since relegation from League One last term and back to back relegations is becoming more and more of a threat each and every week. They currently sit in the bottom two and I fully expect them to be there still after their visit to Sixfields.
Eastleigh to beat Barnet
Barnet looked to have The Conference title sewn up a few weeks ago but a run of five defeats in eight matches have cost them top spot and finding a winning momentum again may well prove difficult. The Bee's come up against an Eastleigh side who are dreaming of back to back promotions. They sit one place outside the play-offs with games in hand on all the teams above them. They have won their past four matches including a victory over top of the table Bristol Rovers. They also have a good home record this season and should have enough to beat a Barnet side struggling for confidence.
Forest Green to beat Braintree
We finish our accumulator with in form Forest Green. They have been flying in recent weeks going unbeaten since the turn of the year and winning eight of their eleven matches in that time. They currently sit in the play-offs but will still have one eye on winning the title with all teams above them failing to find any consistency at present. They come up against a Braintree side who have lost four of their last five. Braintree are eleven points clear of the drop zone and should have more than enough to stay away from trouble but will find it very difficult to come away from this match with anything to show for their efforts.
