Bristol City to beat Rochdale

We start our accumulator with League One table toppers Bristol City. The Robins have had a great season but have lost two out of their last four and will be wanting to put that right and consolidate their position as promotion favourites. They have been top all season and this is just the kind of match that they need to gain back any wilted confidence. Rochdale have also had a good campaign since promotion in May and sit in mid table but have won only one match in last five. The League is so tight that Dale sit just four points outside the play-offs but only eight points clear of the drop zone so they have a lot to play for but I don't think that they will have enough to stop high flying City.

 

MK Dons to win away at Coventry

Coventry are having a shocking season and unfortunately manager Steven Pressley paid the ultimate price last weekend with the sack. The Sky Blues have dropped into the League One drop zone in recent weeks and have just one win in eleven and relegation to the bottom tier is looking like a real possibility. MK Dons on the other hand have promotion on their minds and currently sit in an automatic promotion position. They are the highest scoring team in the division and have embarrassed several teams this season with high scoring victories and will be looking for another win to enhance their position as potential promotion candidates.

 

Gillingham to beat Barnsley

We continue this week’s accumulator tip with in form Gillingham. The Gill's had a slow start to the season but have found some mid-season form and are unbeaten in seven league games and are within touching distance of the play-offs. New manager Justin Edinburgh will be looking to continue that good run and I wouldn't bet against a club who look in very good condition both on and off the field. Barnsley also have a new manager with ex Oldham boss Lee Johnson taking the reins. The Tykes have had an inconsistent season but still have time to make a play-off charge. However to do that they will have to improve on a record that has seen them lose their last seven away matches in the league and I don't see that happening this weekend.

 

Portsmouth to beat Oxford

Ante post preseason favourites Portsmouth have finally found some form this campaign. They have won their last three and are unbeaten in six and with new signing Matt Tubbs starting to find the net they have given themselves an outside chance of reaching the play-offs. Pompey come up against an Oxford side who probably just want this season to finish. They have struggled at the wrong end of the table this term and just can't find any sort of consistency. They should have more than enough about them to beat the drop this term but may struggle to get anything from this one.

 

Southend to beat Carlisle

Southend have lost their last two matches but before that were in fine form going ten games unbeaten. Manager Phil Brown will be looking to put that right to keep The Shrimps automatic promotion ambitions alive and they have a great chance to do that against struggling Carlisle. The Cumbrians have had an awful campaign since relegation from league one last term and back to back relegations could be a reality unless things improve quickly. Unfortunatly for them I don't see that happening this weekend and I fully expect Southend to bring home our winning accumulator tip for this weekend.
