World Cup betting tips today are for Group G where we are trying to predict the winner of the group out of Germany, Portugal, Ghana and USA.
A Group of Death for Germany? Like most top nations, they're usually the reason for it instead of being one of the valiant fighters who crumble because of it.

Claims of Group G being 2014's Group of Death may well have been laughed off by the Germans who boast a 100% record at the World Cup against their three opponents: Portugal, Ghana and USA, without having conceded a goal against the latter two.
But there is reason for the three-time world champions to be cautious of being beaten to top spot and that needs to be considered for our World Cup tips on Group G.
Such is the standard that Germany have always maintained, supporters don't just want their nation to win a major tournament – they expect it; even reaching the semi finals of the 2010 World Cup and 2012 European Championships was not deemed a success in the country.
Joachim Löw constructed a mostly youthful team who ran riot in South Africa for 90% of the tournament before succumbing to Spain in the final four. This was the team that, with its youth at the core and drizzled with experience, was meant to peak in Poland and Ukraine two years later before continuing their domination to World Cup glory this summer.
But it hasn't quite worked out like that. Germany conceded two first half goals without reply in their Euro 2012 semi final against Italy which eventually proved to be an unrecoverable situation as they crashed out 2-1. Three months later in World Cup qualifying, complacency crept in as the Germans blew a 4-0 lead to draw 4-4 with Sweden – the only points dropped in an otherwise perfect qualifying campaign.
They will travel to Brazil as one of the favourites in the 2014 World Cup betting odds and rightly so, but their biggest weakness of underestimating opponents has cost them dear over the last couple of years and teams from Group G and beyond will be hoping they are the ones to exploit this.
Cristiano Ronaldo is one man threatening to do just that from the first minute of the opening game – Portugal's all-time leading goal-scorer was simply unplayable at times in securing his nation's World Cup place. Not to mention his seven Champions League goals against German sides this season. If Ronaldo recaptures this form from the off in Brazil then Germany will have a real fight on their hands for top spot.
The same can't be said for Ghana or USA who may have to accept the two nations ranked inside FIFA's current top three will be too strong.
It's a third successive qualification for the Ghanaians who are staring down the barrel at their first ever group stage exit, and USA, without leading goal-scorer Landon Donovan, look set to continue their record of crashing out at the first hurdle more times than they've progressed past it.
In contrast, Germany have never been eliminated at the group stage and 2014 should be no different. Group G’s opening game will go a long way in determining who tops the group, but Germany’s all-round quality should be enough to drag them into first place, as long as they keep their concentration.
