Wolves v Hull betting tips and predictions for this weekend’s Sunday match in the Championship, kicking off at midday.
It should be a cracker in the Championship on Sunday as Hull travel to Molineux. Both these teams were victorious on the opening day of the season and will be looking to take maximum points from their opening two fixtures.
Wolves v Hull City Predictions
Wolves were many people’s favourites for the title this season after just missing out on the play-offs last year under Kenny Jackett. Meanwhile, Hull have gone about their business quietly but effectively and will be too good for many sides this season.
Wolves squeezed past Blackburn on the opening day of the season, a controversial goal from Dave Edwards being the difference between the two sides. Three points at Ewood Park is a rare commodity, even if it was achieved in a questionable manner. Despite the loss of Bakary Sako, they still have undoubted talent in the shape of Benik Afobe, Nouah Dicko & new signings Connor Coady & Seyi Ojo.
Hull beat Huddersfield 2-0 as many people expected them to do so. Sam Clucas scored on his debut for his new club and they have a decent backline which won’t concede too many goals this campaign. They were lucky to squeeze past Accrington in midweek in the cup, but this will be a tricky assignment for the men from Humberside.
Both these sides will be disappointed if they miss out on a top six finish this season and neither will want to drop points at this early stage. Hull will grab a few wins on the road this season, but Wolves don’t surrender easily at home. They’re unbeaten in their last 9 and I think they will remain that way. I think both of these sides may cancel each other out and it could end all square.
For my first weekend football tip on Wolves v Hull I’m betting on the draw, the best odds are 12/5 with Bet365.

Although on paper, this may look like it will have goals, I don’t think Hull’s defence is easily breached. Wolves will probably huff and puff, but will struggle to attack with the usual gusto and swashbuckling style. The home side missed plenty of opportunities at Ewood Park, but they may not be afforded as many chances this time around.
Hull will be happy to complete a perfect away performance and nick it with a single goal. If it ends a draw (see previous tip) it is likely to end 1-1.
For the next of my Wolves v Hull predictions I am going with there to be under 2.5 goals, the best odds are 8/11 with 888Sport.
There are many players in the Hull side who are still Premier League quality, including Tom Huddlestone and new signing Robbie Brady always look dangerous. One man who can score goals is Nikica Jelavic, the former Rangers man is very much a streaky player and will score consecutively before suffering from a subsequent drought. I think he can bag his first of the season here.
My final football prediction for Wolves v Hull City this weekend is Nikica Jelavic to score anytime, take the 13/5 at Bet365.
