West Ham
West Ham have enjoyed a fantastic season under Slaven Bilic and European football looks likely for their first season at the Olympic Stadium, whether that be a Europa League spot or in the Champions League. The former looks the most likely now with the Manchester clubs City and United picking up wins recently whilst the Hammers have drawn the last four which leaves then seven points off fourth place in the table. Still, a win here would put pressure on the teams above them, and would also increase the gap between them and the chasing pair of Southampton and Liverpool.
Bilic has an almost fully fit squad to choose from with Alex Song being the only doubt. Sam Byram has recovered from the injury that has kept him out of the last six matches and is hoping to play a part.
Watford
Watford’s season can also go down as a success. Their first season back in the tip flight started magnificently, the first half of the season they were in the upper echelons of the table but since the turn of the year they’ve gone off the boil. Their early season for has ensured they’ve stayed away from the relegation battle and after beating West Brom away last time out they’ve hit 41 points, surely enough to see them playing Premier League football next season.
Quique Sanchez Flores has hinted at changes for the this one with the FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace on Sunday. Almen Abdi, Craig Cathcart and Jose Holebas are hoping to prove their fitness after missing the West Brom clash but Joel Ekstrand is unlikely to feature.
West Ham vs Watford Predictions
West Ham need a win here to keep alive their Champions League hopes. Whilst Watford will be a tough game, with the Hornets minds on that FA Cup semi-final clash at the weekend the Hammers should do enough for all three points. They have only kept one clean sheet in their last seven games though, and I think Watford could nick a goal, but West Ham to win this. I think they’ll be a few goals in this too. The Hammers have been involved in some thrillers of late, scoring 12 goals in their last five games conceding 11.
