West Brom have had a decent, if uninspiring, season. They currently sit in 14th place, pretty much safe, but a top half finish is extremely unlikely, something that the West Brom faithful were hopeful of in August. They are on a three game winless run, although they were unlucky last weekend away at Manchester City where they went down 2-1 despite playing well in large parts.
Tony Pulls is waiting on the fitness of Salomon Rondon, who was taken off with a back injury early in that defeat to City, and is likely to be without midfielder James Morrison who is still recovering from a hamstring problem. Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores could welcome back Joel Ekstrand for this one but is waiting to see whether influential midfielder Etienne Capoue will recover from the knock that saw him subbed in that draw with the Toffees.

Watford
Watford’s season can go down as a success as they’re also pretty much guaranteed to be playing Premier League football next season. They started off their first season back in the top flight in great style, mainly thanks to the duo of Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo who have amassed 23 league goals between them this season. Since the turn of the year they’ve gone off the boil somewhat, only winning twice in the league in 2016, but their early season form has kept them out of the relegation battle. They halted a winless run of four games with a 1-1 draw at home to Everton last time out and they’ll be looking to put together a decent run as the end of the season approaches

This looks like being a pretty boring uninspiring game, which would sum up the Baggies’ season completely. Neither side have much to play for and this has a typical end of season feel to it. Two sides with identical records this season, I can’t see a winner in this one, so for my first West Brom vs Watford prediction this weekend I’m going for the draw. The best odds are with Sportingbet who are offering 9/4.
So it’s the draw I’m tipping, and a low score one too. The only side who have scored less than these two this season is bottom of the table Aston Villa, but they both have excellent defensive records, the best two in the bottom half of the table.
