They were on a good run of results before they lost at home to Bournemouth last week and that performance would have disappointed the manager. They have a fantastic array of talent in the attacking areas but I think that Sparky is unsure which players to play and last week he dropped Joe Allen into a deeper position and he was less effective there than when he was in a more advanced position and with the so called ‘Welsh Xavi’ suspended this weekend it will be interesting to see who takes his place. With all their attacking talent, they could beat anyone on their day but it just depends which Stoke turn up on Sunday.

I think both teams don’t have any real pressure on them for this game and this could mean that we see an open and attacking game and I expect both teams to grab at least a goal. Watford will be giving late fitness tests to Younes Kaboul and Juan Zuniga as they both try and shake off knocks for this clash. Central defender Craig Cathcart will definitely miss out as he recovers from an Hernia injury. As for Stoke City Jack Butland is still a long term absentee so Lee Grant will stay in goal. Glen Whelan will have a late fitness test to see if he can return to that midfield.
