Both Teams to Score Tips 27/11/16
AZ Alkmaar v Heracles Almelo
Our first port of call comes to us from the Dutch Eredivisie as AZ Alkmaar take on Heracles at 13:30pm. The hosts in this one have a penchant for picking up draws at the moment and have now taken a point from five of their last seven matches. In addition to this statistic, though, AZ have seen BTTS results in all these stalemates and also registered three straight 2-2 draws on home soil. Opponents Heracles are currently the joint highest ranked team in the Dutch top flight for BTTS results at 77%, and this has seen Almelo register six straight results with both teams finding the net. As opening games go, this looks as safe as they come.
Cagliari v Udinese
The second selection for the both teams to score tip takes us to Serie A as Cagliari face off against Udinese at 14:00pm. The hosts are a great little side for the BTTS market as they love to have a go in most games, regardless of the opposition. Cagliari have actually found the net more times this season than the likes of Fiorentina and Inter Milan, the flip side to this, though, is that they also have the worst defensive record in the division as well. Nevertheless, their BTTS strike-rate of 77% is the joint highest in Serie A and they have now seen both sides notch in eight of their last nine matches. Opponents, Udinese go about their business in a slightly different manner but do themselves hold a decent ratio of 62% for both teams scoring. If this wasn’t encouraging enough, though, the visitors have now picked up six straight BTTS results, scoring eleven times in all of those matches. With that being said, this looks an excellent candidate for this Sunday’s BTTS coupon.
FC Utrecht v Feyenoord
The penultimate leg takes us back to the Eredivisie as Utrecht welcome Feyenoord to town at 15:45pm. The hosts are currently one of the teams that share the top spot with Heracles in the BTTS charts at present with 77% of their matches finishing with both teams finding the net. Utrecht have also managed to score in every home game so far this campaign and also played out two BTTS matches with Feyenoord last year. The visitors started the 2016/17 season like a house on fire after winning their opening nine matches. However, form has tailed off a bit recently and the leaders have only won once in their last four league games and also lost 4-0 away to Manchester United in midweek. Based on all these statistics, I’m fairly confident this leg will fall into line.
Celta Vigo v Grenada
Our final selection comes to us from La Liga as Celta Vigo host Grenada at 17:30. This leg is certainly the toughest on paper, but we could well in in the position for a cash-out opportunity should we make it that far, so keep your eyes peeled! Celta were in action in the Europa League in midweek and that is generally considered not the most ideal preparation ahead of a domestic match three days later. Nevertheless, the hosts have been scoring a lot of goals at home recently and have now notched twelve times in their last four games at the Balaidos, with every match seeing a BTTS outcome. Visitors, Grenada are still winless and bottom of La Liga after picking up a respectable 1-1 draw at Valencia last weekend. Despite not being able to pick up at elusive three points, Grenada have still manage to command a 75% strike-rate for both teams finding the net this season and that is music to my ears ahead of this weekend’s clash with Celta. With all this in mind, stick this one down as the last fixture.
