Nottingham Forest v Wigan – Both Teams to Score

These two sit at the bottom of the form table of late and one of the main reasons are their inability to shut the opposition out. Forest got their first win under Dougie Freedman against Brighton at the weekend, but still found time to concede 2 goals. Wigan looked brighter in their 3-1 loss at Bournemouth and had some decent chances against the top of the table side. Seyi Ojo looks lively and creative on loan from Liverpool and although derided by many fans, Leon Clarke is a man capable of scoring.

 

Partick v Celtic – Celtic win

A fairly obvious one, but Celtic never really looked troubled by Dundee with a changed line up at the weekend. Partick thumped an out of sorts Hamilton recently, but they tamely went down 1-0 to St Mirren last week and then lost 2-1 at home to Inverness in the cup with some of their defending described as shambolic. Celtic should have enough firepower, having only lost 1 of their last 5 away games, to overcome Partick.

 

Southampton v West Ham – Under 2.5 goals

Southampton’s defence has been very impressive this season. They have conceded the fewest amount of goals in the Premier League this season and added another clean sheet at the weekend. West Ham could find it difficult to get past a watertight backline. Saints meanwhile took 90 minutes to score past a usually fragile QPR defence and they aren’t firing on all cylinders, so it could be wise to back unders.
