Middlesbrough to beat Blackpool

On paper, a 0-0 draw with Charlton doesn’t look too impressive, but not many teams will be emerging from the Valley with all 3 points this season. I’ve been impressed with Charlton and they look a solid outfit so a point is a decent return for a side who played 120 minutes and took 13 penalties just 4 days previous. Blackpool went ahead, but calamitous defending undid their good work against Norwich and it’s hard to see the beleaguered Seasiders leaving Teesside with any points whatsoever.

Derby to beat Bournemouth

It may not be an obvious choice, but I think Derby are just clicking into gear. They are still missing George Thorne and Jeff Hendrick, but they convincingly won at the weekend. Bournemouth also emerged 2-0 victors, but it was against an out of form Wigan side and they haven’t always convinced this season. Chris Martin scored two well taken goals and I think they may win this encounter, but probably by the single goal.

Nottingham Forest to beat Wigan

Forest have had two 0-0 draws in a row, but the way Wigan are defending, I can’t see Stuart Pearce’s side being unable to find their shooting boots. Britt Assombalonga has been kept quiet of late, but he only needs one chance and he will convert. Chris Burke, the lively Michael Antonio and Henri Lansbury are bound to create chances and also chip in themselves. Wigan don’t appear to have an obvious goal threat, Oriol Riera hasn’t hit the ground running and they may be missing the likes of Jordi Gomez and James Macarthur in midfield, add Forest to tonight's accumulator tip.

Watford to beat Brentford

Billy McKinley has taken over Oscar Garcia at Watford, and I fancy them to snatch all 3 points at Vicarage Road. They may have surrendered a 2 goal lead at Ewood Park, but Blackburn don’t lose at home and they should be beat Brentford who haven’t been thoroughly convincing on the road this season.

Rotherham and Blackburn to draw
