Team by Team Premier League Predictions for this Season

Football betting tips for every Premier League team ahead of the 2015/16 season – bet on our best football prediction for each team.

Ahead of the new Premier League season our football tipster has picked out his best bet for all 20 of the teams taking their place in the top flight.

Premier League Team by Team Predictions:

Arsenal – Top at Xmas: 4/1 Ladbrokes.

Historically, Arsenal start the League season well, looking like real title contenders, but then fall away towards the latter half of the season. So 4/1 for them to be leading the way at Christmas is a very good price.

Aston Villa – Lowest Scoring Team: 7/1 Ladbrokes.

The departure of Christian Benteke to Liverpool is a massive blow to Tim Sherwood’s side. Villa really struggled for goals last season when the big Belgian was out of the team. Even if they do replace him with a similar striker, I can see Villa struggling in the final third for another year.

Bournemouth – To Stay Up: 4/6 Paddy Power.

In the Championship, all the top teams have a significant dip in form at some point in the season. It happens all the time and I was waiting for it to happen to Bournemouth, but it didn’t. Eddie Howe’s side combined a wonderful brand of attacking football with defensive consistency like no other team managed. I think they can carry that form into the Premier League and beat the drop.

Chelsea – Eden Hazard to get the Most Assists: 11/1 888Sport.

Hazard’s team mate Cesc Fabregas had seven more assists than the Belgian last year, and is the favourite to lead the Premier League standings for another season. But after winning the Player of the Year awards last season, I expect Hazard to go up another gear.

Everton – To Finish in the Top 6: 13/4 888Sport.

It’s looking like a straight tussle between Liverpool, Tottenham and Everton for the fifth, sixth and seventh places this season. Roberto Martinez has strengthened well so far, especially in midfield. They won’t have the Europa League to distract them this season, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they finished in sixth place.

Leicester – To Get Relegated: 7/2 William Hill.

Second season syndrome has hit plenty of teams over the last Premier League years, usually those, like Leicester, who survived by the skin of their teeth the previous season. I don’t think Ranieri will have that much of an impact at the King Power and they are still weak defensively. I expect Leicester to struggle.

Liverpool – Jurgen Klopp to be the next Liverpool Manager: 6/1 Bet Victor.

If Liverpool do part company with Rodgers, then the former Dortmund manager would surely be their first choice to replace him. Klopp went to Dortmund when they were in a similar situation to Liverpool, maybe he will fancy the challenge of transforming them back into regular title challengers.

Man City – Highest Scoring Team: 7/4 Bet Victor.

City have made their intention known in the transfer market already. I expect them to add even more quality in the final third, and to give Wilfried Bony more starting opportunities this season.
They might be the favourite to outscore the rest of the league, but 7/4 is still a very tempting price.

Man United – To Win the Capital One Cup: 8/1 Bet365.

It has been a very long time since Manchester United went three seasons without a single trophy. Van Gaal will be eager to appease the fans and bring some silver wear back to Old Trafford at the earliest opportunity.

Newcastle – Top 10 Finish: 3/1 Bet365.

There will be plenty of teams going into this season targeting a Top 10 finish, and Steven McClaren will see that as his main objective. He has spent well to bring quality players with him to the North East, I expect them to be much more of a force this time round.

Norwich – To Concede the Most Goals: 9/2 888Sport.

The Canaries have been notoriously leaky during their brief stints in the Premier League. Even though the scourge of their top flight existence, Luis Suarez is no longer around, Man City have hit them for a cricket score on more than one occasion. They look a little light defensively, I won’t be backing them to keep a clean sheet very often.

Stoke – Top Midlands Club: 23/20 Boylesports.

Mark Hughes’ side are looking very strong this year and will be looking to build on a good season last time round. The primary objectives of their other Midlands rivals will be simply to keep their heads above the relegation zone, I was amazed to see a price above evens for Stoke to finish higher than the other three midlands teams. Definitely worth a bet.

Southampton – To Finish in the Bottom Half: 3/1 Sky Bet.

After performing so far above everyone’s expectations last season, the pressure will be on Ronald Koeman to repeat that success. Once again, they have lost a few of their big players this summer and even though he has brought in some good replacements, I fancy a bottom half finish for the Saints this time.

Sunderland – To Be Relegated: 9/4 Sky Bet.

Advocaat is yet to really strength Sunderland in key positions. If the last two campaigns are anything to go by, they will probably have a different manager for the second half of the season. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them go down.

Swansea – Top 10 Finish: 6/4 Coral.

I was mightily impressed with Gary Monk and his Swansea side last season, as he led the Swans to their highest ever League finish. Andre Ayew has been brought in, which is a very big coup for the club, and will join the likes of Jonjo Shelvey and Gylfi Sigurdsson in what looks like a very strong midfield. Another Top 10 finish is looking like a real possibility.

Tottenham – Christian Eriksen to get the Most Assists in the PL: 16/1 888Sport.

Apart from Harry Kane, Eriksen was probably Tottenham’s best and most effective player last season, contributing 12 goals in all competitions. However, the Danish playmaker only assisted three goals for his team mates all year. I think his influence is growing in the Premier League, he would be a good each way contender in the assist standings this season.

Watford – To Finish Bottom: 14/5 Ladbrokes.

Watford have been one of the busiest team so far in this transfer window. Their attacking options looking good, but defensively they are still a bit weak compared to their other relegation rivals and it’s hard to say how the new players, or the new manager, will cope with the Premier League. I’ve got a feeling they’re going straight back down.

West Brom – Saido Berahino to join Tottenham: 10/3 Paddy Power.

It looks certain that Berahino will be leaving the Hawthorns in the near future. Spurs have been looking for someone to partner Harry Kane up front and Berahino’s pace and trickery would be a good foil for Kane’s powerful, direct nature. I wouldn’t be surprised if he moved to Whiteheart Lane, either in this transfer window or the next.

Crystal Palace & West Ham

I’ve struggled to come up with a bet for Palace and West Ham. Both would be happy with mid table finishes, I don’t think either are in any real danger of getting dragged into a relegation battle, I can’t see either of their managers getting the boot during the season, and neither really have any standout players who could make their way to the top end of the Top Scorer, or Most Assist tables.

Seeing as there are plenty of teams targeting the eighth, ninth and tenth positions, either of those two sides would be a decent bet for a Top Ten finish. This is reflected in the betting as both sides are 2/1. (Palace with Bet Victor, West Ham with Coral).
