Sheffield United v Coventry Predictions
Tony Mowbray has always been regarded as a good manager and thoroughly decent man too. He has worked wonders with Coventry this season and his side are riding high in League One. They are 11 matches unbeaten and are displaying a mixture of flair and the ability to grind out a result.
Much has been made of the impact of Adam Armstrong, on loan from Newcastle and is firing for fun at this level. He is a natural goalscorer and his strikes have propelled Coventry to this lofty position.
It’s been another season of inconsistencies for Sheffield United who are without a win in six and have won just one of their last eight. Winning four of the first five, it was looking like the Blades could finally live up to their tag of ‘favourites’ for League One. Winning just three games since the end of August is not good form and the pressure is mounting on Nigel Adkins.
They have firepower in the shape of Billy Sharp, Connor Sammon and Jose Baxter, but they have struggled at the back and they could find the Coventry forward line too lively for their liking.
Tony Mowbray says he should be wary of a backlash from Sheffield United, but he has a wealth of attacking riches to choose from and it should be too much for the South Yorkshire club.
Sheffield United have scored twice in their last two matches, but have conceded six goals in those same matches. A 2-2 draw with Southend was the only point they collected from those games.
Coventry haven’t lost a match since a 2-1 defeat to Bury back on the 26th September. At that point, they’d lost three of their last four away matches, but they’ve sorted their form out on the road and have picked up nine point from their subsequent four away matches.
I think the Sky Blues can stifle the Blades and pick something up here for my football predictions. They draw quite a number of games on the road, so taking the draw no bet is a safer option.
My first Sheffield United v Coventry prediction is Coventry Draw No Bet. It can be backed at 11/10 with Paddy Power.

Coventry always seem to bring the goals. Tony Mowbray has long been associated with a slick passing style of football and his sides continue to stick with it. This creates plenty of chances and subsequently goals. Six of their last seven games have featured three or more goals.
My second Sheffield United v Coventry betting tip is for Over 2.5 goals. It can be backed at 4/5 with Bet365.

As well as Adam Armstrong, Jacob Murphy has weighed in with plenty of goals. The on-loan Norwich man has been going through a purple patch and he is flourishing under the style of football that Mowbray is playing.
My third Sheffield United v Coventry football prediction is for Jacob Murphy to score anytime. He can be backed at 12/5 with Ladbrokes.
