Ian Holloway got off to the perfect start as new QPR manager with a 2-1 success over out-of-from Norwich. The Canaries have been in woeful form recently and were down to 10 men within five minutes. The R’s didn’t have it all their own way though with Norwich pulling one back to cause a nervy finish for the Bristolian in his first game in charge. If that victory had created a bubble of positivity and hope, 7 days later, it burst. Low scoring Ipswich were the hosts and hit Rangers for three without reply. Mick McCarthy is a wily manager, whose sides are hard to break down, but the Tractor Boys have struggled for goals this season; QPR made it easy for them. It’s back to the drawing board for the former Blackpool and Crystal Palace boss as he looks to preside over back to back home wins. They currently sit in 15th place, but have the 6th worst home form in the division with just 9 goals in 9 games and 3 wins to date. Massimo Luongo missed the Ipswich game through illness and the Australian’s return should at least make QPR harder to break down. Wolves also have a new man in the dugout in the shape of Paul Lambert. The former Villa and Norwich man saw his side take 86 minutes to create a chance against Preston before admitting they were in a relegation battle following a 2-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday. The men in gold were at least better last weekend and created plenty of chances, but their defence is a concern. It’s 9 games since they last tasted victory and have become stuck in a rut. Walter Zenga couldn’t decide on his first choice XI, but Lambert will need to settle on one quickly if his side are to dig themselves out of this mess.

QPR vs Wolves Predictions

The draw looks the most likely. QPR are quite tough at home, beating Norwich and Bristol City whilst drawing with Reading and Birmingham. Wolves are better away from Molineux and have picked up points against Blackburn, Preston and Villa. Both sides are still in transition under their new managers so the draw is my first Championship prediction for QPR vs Wolves.

If it to end all square, 1-1 looks the likeliest of results and that’s our second QPR vs Wolves betting tip. Wolves haven’t conceded more than a single goal in any of their last four away matches (even to Brighton) and QPR have netted just 9 in 9 here at Loftus Road.

A Young player like Connor Washington is likely to improve under coaching from Ian Holloway. The Bristolian improved a number of young attacking players during his time at Blackpool so Washington to score anytime completes this week’s QPR vs Wolves predictions.

QPR v Wolves Team News

For the hosts, Massimo Luongo is back after missing the Ipswich game through illness. Ben Gladwin is a doubt for this match. Jack Robinson is still injured alongside Jamie Mackie and Stephen Caulker.

Wolves have a number of fitness concerns whilst Joao Teixera starts his suspension. The good news for Lambert is that Danny Batth returns to the team for this. Long term absentees Mike Williamson, Michael Zyro, Jordan Graham are all still missing whilst Ola John and Joe Mason won’t be fit enough to start.

QPR v Wolves Head to Head

These sides drew 1-1 when they met in January with a similar outcome expected this time around. Sebastian Polter opening the scoring for the home side after just 2 minutes. These two sides met in the Premier League as recently as 2012 with Wolves taking all three points back to Molineux. The hosts last beat Wolves here back in 2008.

QPR vs Wolves Betting Odds

As the home side and the team showing marginally better form, it’s no surprise to see QPR start as favourites for this. They can backed at around 6/4 with most bookmakers. Wolves can be backed at around 21/10. The draw will be popular and can be found at around 23/10 with the majority of firms.
