Over 2.5 Goals Accumulator Tips this Weekend
Stoke City v Everton Betting Tip
Over 2.5 goals
We all remember when these two met previously. Perhaps it was because it was a little over a month ago, but more likely because these two sides shared seven goals at Goodison. It was the Potters who came out on top that afternoon and although they failed to net against Man United, they should find the Everton defence a lot more accommodating. Everton’s last away match was 3-3 with Chelsea and they put three past Newcastle on Wednesday night. 13 of Stoke’s 24 goals this season have come at the Britannia this season and they have plenty of creative outlets. They can often be a joy to watch at home and with Everton likely to play their part, it should be an entertaining affair.
Cardiff City v MK Dons Betting Tip
Over 2.5 goals
Cardiff have won three of their last five matches and have been scoring plenty of goals in the process. They may have lost striker Joe Mason in the transfer window, but they’ve loaned Kenneth Zohore and Lex Immers which should add some quality to their squad. The Bluebirds were defensively impressive earlier in the season, but they have lapsed at the back somewhat recently shipping seven goals in four matches. MK Dons aren’t going to win any plaudits for their defensive work either with 10 goals conceded in five matches. That includes conceding three times to bottom club Bolton at the Macron. The Dons have conceded 22 of their 41 goals away this season and they’re far from secure at the back.
Sheffield United v Wigan Betting Tip
Over 2.5 goals
Another fixture which ended with plenty of goals when these teams met not so long ago. It was 3-3 and it the Latics who raced into a lead before being pegged back by Nigel Adkin’s side. Wigan have plenty of goals in them and they have scored in eight consecutive games. Sheffield United have scored in their last 14 home games, so they’re bound to get on the scoresheet here. Gary Caldwell’s side have been in terrific form and are unbeaten in 10. It’s 13 goals in 5 matches now and they have Max Power, Will Grigg and Michael Jacobs all hungry for goals. Grigg has previously been lethal at this level and once he gets in the scoring habit, he can net with devastating regularity. Billy Sharp is the Blades main source of goals and they’ve hit eight goals in their last five matches.
Crewe v Rochdale Betting Tip
Over 2.5 goals
Rochdale have been involved in some high scoring affairs of late. 18 goals in four matches involving Dale and it looks likely to continue here. Keith Hill’s side have always been an effective attacking unit and they should find a way past the second leakiest defence in the league. Eight of those 18 goals were for the visitors, so they’ve been getting their fair share and they have been sharing the goals around the team. They recently hit two past Burton, who have one of the sturdiest defences in the division. It’s just one clean sheet in their last eight games for them as well and Crewe have started playing a more attacking brand of football. The Alex scored against Millwall, Wigan and netted three times against Swindon and still lost!
Exeter v Oxford Betting Tip
Over 2.5 goals
Our final selection comes from League Two and high flying Oxford travel to Exeter. After booking their place at Wembley, manager Michael Appleton will be hoping that his side don’t take their eye off the ball. They score plenty of goals, netting over half their goals away from home (24 of 42) and they have held on to star asset Kemar Roofe. They’ve also signed Jordan Bowery, whose career failed to take off at Aston Villa or Rotherham, but could light up League Two. Exeter had cup adventures of their own, getting to a replay with Liverpool, but they need to concentrate on the league now. They’ve scored seven times in their last three matches and despite the loss of top scorer Tom Nichols to Peterborough, they should still have plenty of goals in them.
