Over 2.5 Goals Accumulator Tips

Huddersfield v Fulham

Huddersfield are a much more open and exciting side under new coach David Wagner. They hit five past hapless Charlton on Tuesday, prompting the South London side to dispense with the services of their interim coach. Nahki Wells is benefitting from Wagner’s influence and has netted four times in the last four matches. The Terriers have now scored 11 goals in those four matches, hitting three past usually robust Preston and scoring twice away at Bolton. Fulham are the visitors to West Yorkshire and the Cottagers were involved in a 3-2 defeat to Wolves on Tuesday. They’re the highest scorers in the league with 42 goals this season and haven’t kept a clean sheet since the 17th of October. They have only failed to score five times all season and this one should be an exciting contest.

Nottingham Forest v Bolton

Bolton haven’t scored many this season, but they hit two goals against Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday, however they also conceded three and that makes it nine goals shipped from their last three away matches. There is still unrest at the Macron Stadium though as a number of players linked with moves away from the club. At least Gary Madine seems to have found his shooting boots and they have Liam Feeney back in the side. With such a poor defensive record, Nottingham Forest should be able to take advantage. Dougie Freedman’s side have drawn their last four matches 1-1, which shows consistency, but they are struggling for clean sheets. Just one clean sheet in seven suggests that Bolton could find a way onto the scoresheet here and get us over the magical three goal mark!

Wigan v Chesterfield

Wigan were one of the teams that did the business for us on Tuesday’s over 2.5 goals coupon tip and they are in a free-scoring mood at the minute. Six goals in the last two games and five conceded means that the DW is the place to go for excitement in League One these days. The visitors this week are a resurgent Chesterfield who have improved markedly since Danny Wilson took over at the Proact Stadium. A memorable 7-1 victory over Shrewsbury was quickly followed by a 3-2 win at Spotland and it seems the Spireites are another side to have found their goalscoring touch of late. There are still defensive problems for each of these teams, especially the Latics surrendering a 3-0 lead to Sheffield United in midweek and this game ended 3-2 when they met earlier in the season

Doncaster v Gillingham

Another side who benefitted from the new manager bounce is Doncaster. Darren Ferguson has had time to settle in and stamp his authority on the side by now and as you expect they are playing some decent football. They were only narrowly beaten by Stoke in the FA Cup and a disappointing derby defeat to Scunthorpe aside, they have been scoring plenty of goals. Six of their last seven games have gone over 2.5 goals and this could go the same way against high flying Gillingham. The Gills need to bounce back from the disappointment of being 2-0 up against Wigan and surrendering their lead. Like Donny, six of their last seven have gone overs, whilst the same has happened in nine of their last 11. They have plenty of goalscorers, but struggle to keep the opposition out with just two clean sheets away from home all season.

Peterborough v Southend

Phil Brown locked his side in the dressing room after the last game, a 4-2 defeat at Swindon. It makes it three defeats on the spin for the former Hull manager after a really promising start to the season. They’ve been defeated in spectacular style as well, shipping 11 goals in those matches and Peterborough could fill their boots here if Southend don’t buck up their ideas. Posh scored three against Sheffield United and it’s the first time in four games that they’ve notched more than two goals. Graham Westley has in-form Connor Washington firing in the goals with Ehrun Oztumer pulling the strings behind. This one could be high scoring.

Crawley v Notts County

The final match in our over 2.5 6-fold accumulator tip is Crawley v Notts County in League Two. Crawley have been firing them in under Mark Yates and their 1-0 win over Cambridge was their first home game in four which hasn’t gone over 2.5 goals. It was also their first clean sheet since Halloween but I still wouldn’t trust their defence against free-scoring Notts County. They shipped three to Portsmouth, twice to Dagenham and four times to Barnet in recent matches. County have a new man at helm in Jamie Fullerton. It was an unexpected choice as the club look to bounce back to League One. Each of their last nine games has gone over 2.5 goals and these two sides have conceded 88 goals between them this season.
