Billy Davies' men were unfortunate not to get all 3 points against table toppers Burnley last weekend. They had a number if chances to take the lead and seal the victory, but had to settle for a 1-1 draw. 

Nottm Forest had previously beaten neighbours Leicester 2-0, but earlier in the season lost at Yeovil and were on the wrong end of a 1-0 smash and grab from Blackpool so there are still a number of inconsistencies which need to be ironed out. 

They currently have a crippling injury list so it wouldn't be surprise if Davies drafted in a loan player ahead of this match. 

Reading meanwhile have been going about their business quietly under Nigel Adkins, they played out an insipid 0-0 draw with Blackburn last weekend and like their opponents they still have some inconsistencies which have crept in. This is demonstrated by a 5-2 thumping by Sheffield Wednesday (who had previously failed to win a game all season) followed by a creditable 1-1 draw with QPR. 

Both teams are works in progress, but when looking for a betting tip I would suggest that Forest’s home form generally should be enough to see them through and emerge victorious. I would happily back them at 11/10 with Betfred.

Despite opting for a Forest victory in my prediction for Nottm Forest v Reading, I believe the game will be tight and Reading will put up a fight and I would suggest a bet on Nottingham Forest to win by 1 goal for my second football tip at 11/4 with Bet365.
