Juventus v Barcelona Predictions – Can Barcelona’s strike-force be stopped?

Juventus v Barcelona predictions and betting tips deciding whether Barcelona can be stopped by Juventus’ strong defensive line-up.

When European club football’s most hotly anticipated contest is eventually served up for football fans around the world to watch and enjoy – it would simply take a very brave man to bet against Barcelona’s star-studded forward-line, as they look to achieve the crowning glory of a successful 2014/15 campaign.

Juventus v Barcelona Betting Tips

In scoring over 100 goals between them this season, Neymar, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi have simply taken the Champions League by storm. Luis Enrique’s side undoubtedly go into the 2015 Champions League final match-up with Juventus as the clear favourites just because of his striker’s contributions alone.

The match winning trio have made their counterparts at Real Madrid, namely Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and of course, Cristiano Ronaldo, look almost insignificant this season with their entertaining approach, slick skills in the final third, and dangerous efficiency in front of goal.

Yes, Juventus have that traditionally Italian ability to defend with their backs against the wall as if their lives were depending on the clean sheet, but as very few out there would be surprised if Barcelona simply ran riot on June 6th, can the Nou Camp faithful’s seemingly jewel-encrusted attacking line-up actually be stopped?

Many would simply say no when predicting the 2015 Champions League final between Juventus and Barcelona. The likes of Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci may represent one of the best centre-back pairings European football has had to offer in recent years, but they ultimately won’t be able to stop Barcelona’s strike-force on their own. Every member of the Juventus starting XI will have to be on their very best game if the Italians are to prove successful – and even then their fate still remains questionable.

Luis Enrique simply has three world class assets up-top that would walk into nearly every available team in the rest of Europe. At this current stage in the footballing climate, they are ultimately the best of the best.

Neymar comes in as the first name to attract attention for his seemingly endless amount of confidence in the final third, daring bag of tricks that would leave most defences guessing, and blistering turn of pace and quick feet on the break. Many doubted the young Brazilian’s ability to make it in Europe for he admittedly seemed too light weight to perform consistently enough – but those claims couldn’t have been further from the truth in hindsight.

The 23-year-old has come on leaps and bounds since he first made the switch to the Nou Camp in 2013, and the Brazilian international really hasn’t let up since. Although he is still a clear diver and a somewhat weak proposition when he’s forced to dig in and work, his goal scoring ability this season really can’t be questioned.

That leads us on nicely to a certain Luis Suarez. Liverpool have been a complete shambles this year without their former main man doing the business at Anfield, and even though the Uruguayan faced a long-term ban at the beginning of the season for his ridiculous third bite on an opponent – ironically Juventus’ Giorgio Chiellini – the born striker has nonetheless continued his form in front of goal.

When linking up with his teammates at the Nou Camp, Luis Suarez has somehow transformed into an even greater talent. He will certainly prove worthy of challenging the likes of Messi and Ronaldo in the ‘world’s best player’ category if his form continues – it’s just as shame that his background is littered with immoral behaviour and a clear desire to bend the rules.

Being judged on his actions as a player first and foremost however, perhaps there is no other striker out there currently experiencing better form than Luis Suarez.

Yet even with the former Reds favourite and Neymar solidly on board for Luis Enrique’s side this season, the spot-light inevitably falls on Lionel Messi once again. Everyone knows what the little Argentinean is all about by now, but his unchallengeable ball-control, gifted vision across the pitch, and sheer danger in and around the penalty box simply never cease to get old.

If it wasn’t for his lack of silverware on the international scene, Leo Messi would already be going down as an all-time footballing legend. This year’s Juventus v Barcelona Champions League final therefore represents a strong opportunity for the world’s best player to go out on that grass and calmly do the business once again.

With such a seemingly unstoppable trio on board for Barca, it really is hard to imagine the Juventus defence keeping them out. As simply anything can happen in tournament finals however – you can ultimately never say never when it comes to deciding what will take place in Champions League football.

All that’s left to say to the Juve back-line is…good luck!
