Fulham vs Sheffield Wednesday predictions and Championship betting tips for this weekend’s 3pm kick-off with the best odds and reasons for each selected bet.
One of the most intriguing matches on Saturday afternoon in the Championship comes from Craven Cottage as Fulham take on Sheffield Wednesday and we’ve got the best three betting tips for the match.
Fulham have hit form and are climbing the table under the stewardship of Slavisa Jokanovic. The Cottagers started the season strongly beating Newcastle on the eve of the new season before embarking on a barren September, but they’ve bounced back and could be play-off contenders this season. The way they dispatched of Huddersfield here a couple of weeks ago was clinical and they’re benefitting from the loan signing of proven Championship finisher Chris Martin. Sone Aluko’s game also appears to have improved as a result of having Martin around and it’s all coming up smelling of roses for the West London outfit. Their only defeat in five came against an ever-improving Aston Villa and they were unlucky not to get something from that match. Tomas Kalas has improved their defence, an area of weakness for many years and they will fancy their chances against an inconsistent Sheffield Wednesday. The Owls somehow squandered a goal lead to lose at Hillsborough to Ipswich. The Tractor Boys had been in poor form coming into that game, but freak results occur and Wednesday weren’t good enough and left with nothing. Unlike last season, Wednesday haven’t been able to make Hillsborough a fortress and several teams including Brighton and Leeds have left South Yorkshire with all three points. Carlos Carvalhal has been pushing his side this week to improve their consistency, but it’s hard to put your finger on where it’s been going wrong.

BTTS Tips
The Cottagers have conceded just a single goal in three games, but Sheffield Wednesday have plenty of firepower, so expect a couple of goals in this one and both teams to score is the next Fulham vs Sheff Wed betting tip because of this.
Both Teams to Score? Yes – 8/11 with William Hill: BET NOW.
Anytime Goalscorer Tips
Sone Aluko and Chris Martin could both easily find the back of the net here, but I’m going to take Tom Cairney at a bigger price. The dynamic midfielder is likely to be targeted in the January transfer window, but Fulham will be looking to keep hold of him. He scored last week against Brentford.
Tom Cairney anytime goalscorer – 24/5 with 888Sport: BET NOW.
Bet on Cairney to score anytime here.

Fulham vs Sheffield Wednesday Team News
Slavisa Jokanovic has the luxury of a fully fit squad to delve into. He is unlikely to make too many chances though considering his side are in decent form. A number of players have been away during the International Break, but they should all be back and ready action. Floyd Ayite, Tomas Kalas, Michael Madl and Ragnar Sigurdsson have all returned injury-free.
Sheffield Wednesday are close to welcoming back Lucas Joao after a long spell on the sidelines. He may be fit enough for a place on the bench here. Joe Wildsmith and Marco Matias are long term casualties.
Fulham vs Sheffield Wednesday Head to Head
Sheffield Wednesday have won the last three meetings between these sides including twice last season. The Owls headed back North with all of the points thanks to Ross Wallace first half strike.
Fulham haven’t beaten Sheffield Wednesday since a thumping 4-0 win in 2014.
Fulham vs Sheffield Wednesday Betting Odds
Fulham are the favourites here as the home side and can be backed at around 13/10 with most bookmakers. The Cottagers are in good form and will be fancied by many. The draw is priced at 12/5 whilst Sheffield Wednesday can be backed for another victory here at around 2/1.
Three Fulham players dominate the goalscorer market with Chris Martin, Cauley Woodrow and Matt Smith all at the head of proceedings.
