Football Accumulator Tips 6th November
Leicester v West Brom – Leicester win
The Foxes managed to pick up a draw in midweek away at FC Copenhagen in a hard fought match in Denmark. They’ve had a great Champions League campaign so far and will be looking to continue that resilience back at the KP. They’ve been strong here all season in both the Premier League and Europe. They beat Crystal Palace here last time out in a convincing 3-1 win and then held unbeaten Spurs to a 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane. They are missing Islam Slimani for this one, but Shinji Okazaki should come in and is always a threat. West Brom have handed Tony Pulis a new contract, but that won’t change things here. The Baggies are in a poor run of form and were hit for four by Manchester City last weekend. They aren’t scoring enough and although usually strong, they could come undone at the King Power.
Schalke v Bremen – Schalke win
Schalke have improved massively in recent weeks and were convincing once again on Thursday night as they dispatched Krasnodar here. A 2-0 victory made it 8 games unbeaten in all competitions. They have turned things around massively and they got a creditable 0-0 draw in their derby match with Borussia Dortmund last weekend. They have tightened things up and have conceded just three goals in seven games. Bremen haven’t won away from home this season and are struggling, they conceded three to RB Leipzig and four to Monchengladbach and could be vulnerable here. They sit just above the relegation zone, but have conceded 24 goals already this season and the Schalke attack will surely have too much for them.
ENHANCED ODDS – 6/1 Arsenal or 10/1 Tottenham to win the North London derby.
Palermo v AC Milan – AC Milan win
Palermo have the worst home record in the division with five straight defeats in front of their own fans. Their position in the relegation zone is owing a lot to the failures in front of their own fans. They have struggled defending this season and conceded three goals to Udinese last time here. AC Milan have been a little inconsistent this season, but they got the job done in a 1-0 win against Pescara. Unlike some of their rivals in the top 6, they’ve had the benefit of a whole week to build up to this one. Vincenzo Montella’s side a youthful and energetic and are capable of blips this season (see the 3-0 loss at Geno), but they should find the generous Palermo defence a joy to play against. Carlos Bacca is rumoured to be off in January, but he is always a threat and will enjoy this match.
New York Red Bulls v Montreal Impact – New York Red Bulls win
The second leg of the MLS Semi-Final play-off is our 4th selection on Sunday. Montreal Impact clinched a 1-0 victory at the Stade Saputo, but NY Red Bulls should get the job done back at the Red Bulls Arena. They hit the bar from a Felipe free-kick and Bradley Wright-Phillips was uncharacteristically wasteful. A few tweaks from Jesse Marsch and they should be able to get a result here. Montreal haven’t been the best on the road this season and NY Red Bulls rarely trip up in front of their own fans. They will be ready from the off and they will be hungry for goals. They’ve hit three in each of their last two home games and have won four consecutive games here.
Vitesse v Heracles – Vitesse win
It’s three games without a win now for the hosts, but that shouldn’t be reason to worry. They lost to PSV last weekend, which is understandable. They drew with NEC in their derby match before that, but they were the better team throughout that and succumbed to a last minute equaliser in a closely fought contest. They’ve won two of their last three home games and should get the job done here. They’re a young side who are learning and they have scored 15 goals in 11 games so far. This is an easier looking game for them as Heracles are out of form and not good on the road. The side from Amelo had a brilliant season last year, but have disappointed this time around and haven’t won in any of their 6 games on the road yet.
