Leicester v Tottenham – Leicester to qualify

Leicester almost didn’t need a replay of this match with a late Harry Kane goal leaving the match level at 2-2. Since then, these teams have met in the league and it finished 1-0 to Leicester at White Hart Lane. Having not lost in North London twice in quick succession, it’s now time for Leicester to host this fixture and I think they can make it through to the 4th round this time. Spurs were pretty clinical on Saturday, but that was against a dreadfully open Sunderland. There was disappointment for Leicester as they could only manage a 1-1 draw with bottom club Aston Villa. They missed a penalty though and there was more than a hint of handball about Gestede’s equaliser, so they’ll probably feel hard done to. Claudio Ranieri knows his players won’t shy away from giving 100% and even if it takes extra time and/or penalties, they should qualify.

Sassuolo v Torino – Sassuolo to win

There’s a single match in Serie A on Wednesday night and we’re forecasting a home win for Sassuolo. There were contrasting fortunes for these sides at the weekend with Sassuolo losing 3-1 away at Napoli in Saturday’s late match. Napoli have the league’s best home form though accruing 26 point from 10 home games whilst taking 19 points from the last eight games. Torino won 4-2 at home to Frosinone, but there was scare when Frosinone staged a comeback in a bid to get something from the match. Frosinone are the weakest away side in the league though and have a shambles of a defence and it really should have been a lot easier for Torino. Despite drawing their last two home matches, Sassuolo are still unbeaten at the Mappei Stadium. They have beaten Juventus here, drawn with Fiorentina and recently beaten Inter Milan on the road, they should see off Torino.

Lazio v Juventus – Juventus win

This match is in the Coppa Italia and for a side who are on a winning run, it’s not a bad price about Juventus. Cup competitions are the chance for managers to make changes, but I don’t think Allegri will tinker too much. Even if he does, he still has a strong squad to dip into it with plenty of talented players waiting in the wings. Stadio Olimpico will see the Bianconeri visit again and Juve won 2-0 when they last visited at the start of December. After a poor start to the season, Juventus haven’t lost since the 28th of October, they have been victorious in every game since then, many of them convincingly. Lazio found themselves 2-0 to Bologna before a sending off for the home side sent the game spinning in their direction. It ended 2-2 and kept their unbeaten run going, but I think they will be outclassed here.

Lewes v Dulwich Hamlet – Dulwich Hamlet win

A short one in Non-League for our next selection on the accumulator tip as we fancy the away side to come away from Sussex with all three points. The price isn’t so great as Lewes currently sit bottom of the table with 15 points from 20 games. They have improved significantly, picking eight points from their last eight games, but they still struggle against teams at the top end of the table. Dulwich sit 2nd and haven’t lost for five games. They’ve recently beaten Enfield Town and Grays Athletic, teams who sit much higher up the table than Lewes. They have scored the most goals in the league, notching 60 times and have the 3rd best defence in the division.

Celta Vigo v Atletico Madrid – Atletico Madrid to win

It may seem boring to keep backing Atleti on acca tips, but when they continue to bringing in the money for us, we’re not going to give up just yet. Simeone’s side still sit top of the table and have progressed well in the cup. They face Celta Vigo here, a side they have recently beaten in the league. It was a hard fought 2-0 victory and they will look to do the same here. Atletico have a tremendous away record, only losing to Malaga on the road and they stuck three past Las Palmas just a few days ago. Celta Vigo got past Cadiz to make it to this stage and a decent win at the weekend does make them a tough proposition, but with Atletico’s defensive record, I would back them to win here.
