Friday’s Football Accumulator Tips
Birmingham v Middlesbrough – Middlesbrough win
A short one to begin with, but Middlesbrough NEED to win. A slip up here and they hand the advantage to Brighton and Burnley going into the final day. They should have enough firepower against a side who have struggled at St Andrews this season. Goals have been a problem for Birmingham throughout the season and Middlesbrough have the best defence in the league. It was far from a limp performance from Middlesbrough at the weekend, but they missed a hatful of chances. If they can convert a few here, they should win this comfortably. Aitor Karanka has plenty of options on the bench to mix things up if required.
Middlesbrough to beat Birmingham odds – 8/15 at Coral.
Cork City v Dundalk – Cork City win
Plenty of fixtures in the League of Ireland on Friday night and the home side should have too much for visitors Dundalk. It’s now five wins from nine games and that includes two consecutive home victories, scoring five goals in the process. They’ve only conceded five goals this season so far and Dundalk will find them hard to break down. The away side have also won five matches, but just two in their last five. They lost last week to lowly bray, failing to score. Cork City’s only defeat came to 2nd place Derry City and that was back at the start of March

Tour v Niort – Tours win
Off to French Ligue 2, a Friday favourite. Tours have been decent at home this season with seven of their 11 wins this season coming here. Three of their last five matches here have ended with three points and I think they can see off lowly Niort. The visitors have only won twice since the middle of January – once against bottom club Paris FC and the other away at Red Star – a side incredibly poor on their own patch. Tours have only lost five times in 2016, four of which have been against top 8 opponents. True, they have nothing to play for, but Niort have failed to score in four of their last five matches and will surely be outclassed here.

Braga v Vitoria Setubal – Braga win
Braga are strong at home. They have only lost once here all season and have scored in nine consecutive games in front of their own fans. They recently beat FC Porto and should have too much for struggling Vitoria Setubal. It’s now 12 games since Setubal last tasted victory and they should struggle to contain the hosts. They’ve picked up just a single goal from their last four away matches. Braga have only conceded 11 goals all season at home and although they are a short price, they should be included in all Friday night accumulators.

Union Berlin v Bochum – Union Berlin win
Our final selection is an early kick off in the Bundesliga Zwei. Both of these sides are at the right end of the table and are playing for pride. Neither of them are able to catch 3rd place Nurnberg. Union Berlin have been excellent recently though and have only lost twice at home all season. They’ve also won each of their last five here. Both of those defeats came during a poor run in October. Bochum have only won two of their last ten away matches and have lost their last two. True, they’ve faced difficult opposition, but this is equally as taxing in my opinion. Until their defeat to 3rd place Nurnberg, Union Berlin has kept three consecutive clean sheets in the league.
