Marseille to beat Lille

Lille had made improvements, but they appear to have slipped back into bad ways with back to back losses in recent weeks. They were 1-0 up at the weekend before conceded three second half goals to bottom club Troyes. They have won a few times at home this season, but it’s a single win on the road for them and they could struggle here. Marseille are not in their best form, but they are extremely hard to beat. No defeat since the 8th of November for the home side and although they’ve drawn a huge amount of games (including against Lyon at the weekend) but they have beaten St Etienne, Rennes and Caen. With Lille struggling again, I think Marseille can take all three points here.

 

Guimaraes to beat Unaio Madeira

This one is a tricky one as both sides are playing quite well at the moment, but Unaio Madeira are much better home side and when they’re on their travels, it tends to pay to bet against them. They’ve become very solid of late. It all started with the 0-0 draw against Benfica and the run of decent results includes a 1-0 win over Sporting. They’ve won four of the last six, but their two defeats were away from home. It’s now four unbeaten for Guimaraes and it’s 10 goals in those matches. Their last defeat here came to Benfica and it was by a narrow 1-0 margin. Their 1-0 victory over FC Porto in their last home match was a fantastic result and that confidence should see them through this one.

 

Anderlecht to beat Sint-Truiden

Sint Truiden started the season with three decent results, but they’ve since dropped off and haven’t won in any of their last five matches. It’s just two home wins since the end of August and I fancy Anderlecht to go home with all of the points here. There’s some talented players at Anderlecht and they’ve won of their last five matches. Their only recent defeats have come to in-form Standard Liege and top of the league Gent. They recently beat Club Brugge 4-1 recently and that was a standout result in my eyes.

 

Nimes to beat Auxerre

Nimes have started to put a string of results together of late. They’ve always been fairly decent at home with just a single loss at Stade Des Costieres all season. They’ve beaten top of the table Nancy by 4 goals to 3, stuck six past in-form Clermont and beat Brest 2-0 in their last three matches. They drew their first 6 matches at home this season, but now it appears they can’t stop scoring! That could be a problem for Auxerre, who are an average Ligue 2 side this season. They’ve taken just a single point from their last three away matches and I can’t see them stopping the Nimes juggernaut.

 

VVV to beat FC Volendam

The final selection on the footy accumulator tip comes from the Dutch second tier as we predict the home side will come out on top here. VVV have lost their last two games, but they were narrow defeats. Prior to that, they’d won 6 in a row and in 8 of their last 10. They have been scoring plenty and have notched in every single match since the 18th of September. FC Volendam aren’t a bad side but they are poor away. They won their first four matches away from home, but haven’t taken maximum points on their travels since the 18th of September. I think VVV can outscore their opponents here.
