The Rams have moved up the table under the stewardship of Steve McLaren and will want to keep that form going against Blackpool on Saturday.

They saw off Middlesbrough midweek courtesy of a late Connor Sammon goal and have generally found their shooting boots, putting 3 past Wigan previously. Kirk Broadfoot, Ricardo Fuller and Gary McKenzie all seeing red and are subsequently banned for this encounter. Paul Ince was quick to admonish their lack of discipline, but it leaves him real defensive problems against a potent attack. 

Both Jamie Ward and Chris Martin have found the net more regularly under the new manager and they may be up against a makeshift back 4 which may contain midfielders and quite possibly wingers and that has to be considered when picking football tips for the match.

Due to both the improvement from the East Midlands side and the lack of defensive back up for the visitors, it seems sensible to back Derby to win and the best odds available at the moment is 5/6 with Bet Victor. 

It may also be worth back Derby to win by a 2 goal margin or more.  They are likely to find the scoresheet, with Craig Cathcart being rushed back from injury ahead of schedule as the only available centre half, but he has been unable to train due to floods on the Fylde Coast. Derby to win by 2 goals or more is 17/4 with Ladbrokes. 

Jamie Ward seems to have added goalscoring to his creative portfolio and has scored a few goals of late. I think he stands a good chance to scoring anytime during this match. Chris Martin is too short a price so at 15/8 Jamie Ward seems a workable price and I would back him to score anytime.
