Chelsea vs Stoke City predictions and betting tips for this weekend’s Premier League fixture with the best three bets from the preview.
Chelsea welcome Stoke to Stamford Bridge on Saturday for this 3 o'clock kick off as both sides look to continue their impressive runs and I have three Premier League predictions for this one.
Chelsea vs Stoke Predictions
After the 2-1 win away at relegation-threatened Norwich, Chelsea are now unbeaten in 12 league games, winning the last three. It's been a huge turnaround for the club since Guus Hiddink's arrival and they're now in the top half of the division for the first time in months. Stoke have also won three on the bounce, Xherdan Shaqiri's late great strike against Newcastle giving them all three points in their last game that saw the Potters move up to 7th. Before this run though, they lost three on the bounce, all 3-0, it's tough to judge which Stoke side are going to turn up.
Both sides have a few injuries to deal with, Chelsea are without John Terry and Kurt Zouma, and Pedro is likely to miss out in this one too. There will be late tests on Kenedy, who scored the quickest Premier League goal so far this season in the win over the Canaries, and Eden Hazard who both picked up knocks in that game. For Stoke, Ryan Shawcross is unlikely to return and Phil Bardsley picked up another injury in the Newcastle win. Glen Johnson is another couple of weeks away but Mark Hughes could welcome back Geoff Cameron for this one.
Stoke, along with Liverpool, are my least favourite team in this division, purely for the fact that they've cost me money every time I've bet on them. They're hard to predict. They are on a good run, but those wins have come against the weaker sides in the division, prior to those wins they were battered by Leicester, Manchester United and Everton. I don't think they'll get battered here but I think they'll be leaving Stamford Bridge empty handed. Odds of 8/15 for the Chelsea win are ridiculous considering Stoke are 7th, plus I think Stoke will get a goal here, so my first Chelsea vs Stoke prediction is for Chelsea to win and both teams to score.
The best odds for Chelsea to win and BTTS against Stoke this weekend are 5/2 with William Hill.

Diego Costa is a man revitalised. He's been involved in 12 goals in his last 10 league games, scoring eight and setting up four, and since the change in manager he looks more like the player that we saw last season. He won me a couple of quid after tipping him to score anytime against Norwich (ta, Diego and thank you linesman for not flagging him offside) and I'm betting on his run to continue. My second Chelsea vs Stoke prediction is for an anytime goalscorer tip and it’s Diego Costa.
The best odds for Diego Costa to score anytime against Stoke this weekend are 11/10 at Ladbrokes.

For my final Premier League prediction, I'm going for a correct score tip. I doubt this will be a classic, for me a narrow Chelsea win is on the cards. For my final Chelsea vs Stoke betting tip I'm going for Chelsea to win 2-1.
The best odds for Chelsea to win 2-1 are 17/2 with Bet Victor.
