It’s another London derby for Fulham as they face Charlton at the Valley where they be looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat to Wolves.
Charlton v Fulham Preview
Many expected the Cottagers to build upon their victory against QPR and get three points against the out of form men in gold, but it wasn’t to be, as they lost influential midfielder Tom Cairney to a first half red card. As he was luxuriating in an early bath, his side conceded three as the points ebbed away.
Charlton didn’t play midweek, they had a breather and they will have used to time to regroup after a poor run of form, undoing all their good work at the start of the season. Guy Luzon hasn’t been able to find a solution to re-instate confidence amongst his players, which is badly needed.
The trouble is – The Addicks have a terrible record in front of the Sky cameras and it looks set to continue here. Whilst Fulham were beaten, battered and bruised in midweek, there were enough positives against QPR to keep their supporters content.
Alou Diarra comes back in for Charlton after his suspension has ended and Guy Luzon is likely to make a couple of changes as he looks for a winning formula to get the Addicks back on track. The goals have dried up which is worry, but they are always a danger with the creativity and direct style of Johann Berg Gudmondsson on the wing.
As previously mentioned, Tom Cairney will sit this one out following his lunge, he will joined on the sidelines by Scott Parker, Jazz Richards and Luke Garbutt. Lasse Vig Christensen looks likely to come into the centre of midfield, whether he will be able to produce the tempo needed remains to be seen. Moussa Dembele and Ben Pringle will continue to pose a threat from midfield positions.

I think Fulham will win this for my football predictions this weekend, but I worry about their fragility after their midweek defeat, so I’d prefer to take them on the Draw No Bet market.
