Bury vs Rochdale Predictions and Betting Tips Tonight

Bury play Rochdale in tonight’s League Two clash and we have got football tips for the derby that is always a fiercely competitive affair.

All eyes will on the North West in League Two on Friday night as Bury host Rochdale. Aside from being a local derby, there is additional interest in this game as best mates and former manager/assistant Keith Hill and David Flitcroft sit in opposing dugouts.

It’s the sort of story that Sky will lap up and milk for everything it is worth, but it is heartwarming to know that the two managers won’t be squabbling on the touchline or partaking in frosty handshakes at the end of the 90 minutes.

The pair are ‘as thick as thieves’ and it was at Rochdale that their success story and friendship began, as they lifted the side to League One for the first time in 36 years and subsequently cemented their position in the division before heading over the pennines to Barnsley.

Hill returned, whilst Flitcroft was barely out of work for 24 hours before taking up the reins at Bury. There is no doubt that both managers have transformed the fortunes of the respective clubs and Hill has guided his side up to 3rd position, just 3 points off the top spot.

As for the match, both sides like to attack and there may be a few goals over the course of the game. Scott Hogan scored a hat-trick in Rochdale’s 3-0 victory over Oxford and although they are better at Spotland, the incentive of being top of the table on Saturday morning may inspire them to 3 points. Bury are no pushovers, but Rochdale should have enough quality to narrowly get the better of them. Rochdale are 9/5 with Bet Victor to pick up the points and that is our first football betting tip tonight.

There are two suggestions in the anytime goalscorer market, despite his heroics last weekend, Scott Hogan is 2/1 to score anytime, which looks tremendous value, if that seems a little short, you could also try Ian Henderson to score anytime at a slightly larger 11/4. Both are with Bet Victor. The former has scored 17 goals this season and should be able to find the net whilst the latter adds an injection of quality.

Finally, as I touched upon earlier, Bury are no pushovers and have picked up under David Flitcroft. They will have been disappointed to lose from a winning position at Cheltenham last weekend but overall they should easily stay in the division and have a comfortable final game of the season. I think they will at least find the back of the net so for our final football tip back Both Teams to Score which is 5/6 with Bet365.
