Burnley vs Blackburn Prediction and Football Betting Tips

It's a Lancashire Derby that kicks us back off after the International break in the Championship on Saturday lunchtime as Burnley host Blackburn at Turf Moor. 

There is just eleven miles between them, but 8 points separate the sides and it should be a closely fought and fiery contest. 

Sean Dyche has guided his side somewhat unexpectedly to third place, but they've started the season superbly and have lost only once, at the Amex coupled with the bizarre sending off of goalkeeper Tom Heaton. 

Blackburn meanwhile have turned a corner with two decent home victories over Barnsley and Bolton, but they started the season shakily picking up just one point from their opening three games. 

Both teams are coming off the back of superb victories, but the way Burnley disposed of Derby at Pride Park, where they seldom lose was hugely impressive. 

Blackburn thumped Bolton, but Dougie Freedman's side were poor and have been susceptible defensively so I would take the home side to shade it and emerge victorious. They are 6/5 with Betfred. 

Goals have been flying in for both sides in recent weeks and with Jordan Rhodes back amongst the goals, I would back both teams to score at 4/5 with Bet Victor as I can foresee an entertaining affair. 

The obvious pick for this game would be to side with Jordan Rhodes to hit the back of the net, but I am going to opt for Burnley striker Danny Ings to score anytime at 9/5 with BetVictor.
