Burnley v Brighton Betting Tips, Predictions and Preview

Burnley v Brighton predictions and free football betting tips for the Championship fixture on Sunday 22nd November including the best odds for our three betting tips.

Brighton are still unbeaten this season under Chris Hughton, but they arguably face on of their toughest assignments yet as they travel to Turf Moor, we’ve got a match preview for Sunday’s live TV clash.

Burnley v Brighton Predictions

The Clarets are unbeaten in seven games and they scored in each one of these. Sean Dyche has got his side organised and they are consistent enough to challenge at the end of the campaign.

Brighton’s unbeaten run is seriously at risk here as they need to find a way of dealing with the threat of Andre Gray. Not as prolific, but Brighton will be missing Sam Baldock from their line-up. Likewise, this is a difficult task for the home side, who came unstuck here against promotion rivals Reading when they fell to a 2-1 defeat.

Brighton have the ability to grind out results this season and they are clearly playing for one another. They may be unbeaten, but it still doesn’t mean they are top of the table as they have drawn too many times this season. In fact, they’ve shared the spoils a whopping seven times already and three in their last four. There are plenty of sides who can claim to be the draw specialists in the Championship, Brighton are definite contenders.

They’ve only kept two clean sheets on the road this season, which would be a worry against a Burnley side who have only failed to score 3 times all season, although that includes last time out against Wolves.

If the home side beat Brighton, it would be a huge result and a large step forward this season. They’ve lost to Reading and Ipswich and drew 0-0 with Derby and Wolves, they could do with beating one of their fellow top eight sides to send out a statement. Middlesbrough have a similar problem, beating the likes of Rotherham and Charlton, but not being able to get the better of Hull and Reading.

It’s an obvious selection for my football betting tips, but given Brighton’s record this season and Burnley’s habit of keeping things tight against better opposition (Wolves, Derby), I think this one could end up all square.

My first Burnley v Brighton prediction is for the match to end a draw. It can be backed at 9/4 with Betfred.

Despite both sides keeping it tight, we might see goals apiece in this one. Six of Burnley’s eight home games have finished with both sides finding the net with the Clarets scoring two or more goals in six out of eight too. The same statistic applies as both sides have scored in 6 of Brighton’s 8 away matches.

My second Burnley v Brighton betting tip is for both teams to score. The best odds for BTTS is 6/5 with 888Sport.

It seems a really obvious pick so as a result, I’m going to go for first goalscorer tip as opposed to anytime, but you easily back both. Andre Gray scored twice in the last three of Burnley’s home games. A total of six goals in 270 minutes of football at Turf Moor and he seems the likeliest to do it again for my first goalscorer betting tip.

My third football prediction for Burnley v Brighton is for Andre Gray to score first. The best odds for Andre Gray to score first are 5/1 with Bet365.
