Two of the Championship’s top scorers meet in the West Country on Saturday evening as last week’s hat-trick hero Glenn Murray lines up against the prolific Tammy Abraham. Brighton were utterly devastating last weekend as they demolished Norwich 5-0 with the Baldock/Murray partnership flourishing. The strikers have been called a ‘little and large combination’ by their manager who was pleased with their form in recent weeks. The Seagulls are unbeaten in the league since their surprise reverse at home to Brentford on the 10th of September. They’ve also won their last three games without conceding. Chris Hughton’s side are flying and they will be relishing this tie in front of the TV cameras. Murray hasn’t managed a goal away from the AMEX yet this season and will be looking to get off the mark here. Bristol City haven’t been at their best recently with just a single win in five. That victory came here against Blackburn with a last gasp Aaron Wilbraham strike proving the winner. They drew 2-2 with Barnsley last weekend but the Tykes needed a 91st minute goal to snatch a point. In the league, they’ve only lost once this campaign here and that was a narrow defeat to Newcastle.

Bristol City vs Brighton Team News
Lee Johnson must decide whether to persist with two up front for the meeting with Brighton. Against Barnsley, he partnered Tammy Abraham with Aaron Wilbraham and it got City back to goalscoring ways. Brighton have a mean defence, so Johnson could decide to field an attacking formation.
Marlon Pack and Jamie Paterson could come into consideration for this one, but it’s likely a similar line up will be chosen.
The Baldock/Murray partnership has been keeping Tomer Hemed on the bench and the Israeli will have to settle for a place amongst the subs once more.
The Lewis Dunk/Shane Duffy partnership is proving very effective at the back with three consecutive clean sheets and Brighton are likely to be largely unchanged.
Dale Stephens came back into the side after serving his suspension and is also likely to keep his place.
