Bristol City vs Brighton predictions and betting tips for this weekend’s Championship fixture at 5.30pm on Saturday 5h November including the best odds for each selection.
The 5:30pm kick off in the Championship sees Brighton visit Ashton Gate to take on Bristol City. We’ve got the best three betting tips for the match.
Two of the Championship’s top scorers meet in the West Country on Saturday evening as last week’s hat-trick hero Glenn Murray lines up against the prolific Tammy Abraham. Brighton were utterly devastating last weekend as they demolished Norwich 5-0 with the Baldock/Murray partnership flourishing. The strikers have been called a ‘little and large combination’ by their manager who was pleased with their form in recent weeks. The Seagulls are unbeaten in the league since their surprise reverse at home to Brentford on the 10th of September. They’ve also won their last three games without conceding. Chris Hughton’s side are flying and they will be relishing this tie in front of the TV cameras. Murray hasn’t managed a goal away from the AMEX yet this season and will be looking to get off the mark here. Bristol City haven’t been at their best recently with just a single win in five. That victory came here against Blackburn with a last gasp Aaron Wilbraham strike proving the winner. They drew 2-2 with Barnsley last weekend but the Tykes needed a 91st minute goal to snatch a point. In the league, they’ve only lost once this campaign here and that was a narrow defeat to Newcastle.
Bristol City vs Brighton Predictions
Brighton have been at their brilliant best recently and although Bristol City don’t get beaten often here, scoring five last week will give them incredible confidence that they can snatch a result here so that’s my first Bristol City vs Brighton betting tip.
Brighton Draw No Bet – 8/11 with Ladbrokes.
Ladbrokes offer: £50 free bet – CLAIM.
Brighton should be able to take the game to Bristol City and will attack from the off. The Baldock/Murray is building up a head of steam and will be hard to stop so for my second Bristol City vs Brighton prediction I am betting on quite a special market and going with Brighton to be winning at anytime.
Brighton to be winning at any time – 3/4 with Bet Victor.
Bet Victor offer: bet £10 get a £30 free bet – CLAIM.
Anytime Goalscorer Tips
Glenn Murray hasn’t managed an away goal yet, so I’d prefer to side with Baldock for my anytime goalscorer tip in this Championship fixture. He’s played an integral role in the recent run and his header against Wolves was superb.
Sam Baldock anytime goalscorer – 11/4 with Bet365.
Bet365 sign-up offer: £200 bonus – CLAIM.
Bristol City vs Brighton Team News
Lee Johnson must decide whether to persist with two up front for the meeting with Brighton. Against Barnsley, he partnered Tammy Abraham with Aaron Wilbraham and it got City back to goalscoring ways. Brighton have a mean defence, so Johnson could decide to field an attacking formation.
Marlon Pack and Jamie Paterson could come into consideration for this one, but it’s likely a similar line up will be chosen.
The Baldock/Murray partnership has been keeping Tomer Hemed on the bench and the Israeli will have to settle for a place amongst the subs once more.
The Lewis Dunk/Shane Duffy partnership is proving very effective at the back with three consecutive clean sheets and Brighton are likely to be largely unchanged.
Dale Stephens came back into the side after serving his suspension and is also likely to keep his place.
Bristol City vs Brighton Head to Head
Brighton came here and won 4-0 back in February and Lee Johnson will be desperate to avoid a repeat of that embarrassment. Sam Baldock and Jamie Murphy both netted in that game.
Bristol City haven’t beaten Brighton since 2007 and will be looking to break that 9 year hoodoo here.
Bristol City vs Brighton Betting Odds
Despite being the visitors, Brighton are favourites for this tie and can be backed at around 6/4 for victory. Bristol City are around 2/1 to make home advantage count and end Brighton’s unbeaten run. The draw can be backed at 23/10.
Glenn Murray and Tammy Abraham lead the way in the goalscoring market unsurprisingly.
