Bristol City v West Bromwich Albion predictions and FA Cup betting tips for tonight’s third round replay where WBA will look to avoid an upset.
Championship side Bristol City host Premier League West Brom at Ashton Gate in their FA Cup Third Round replay and I have three football tips for this one.
Bristol City v West Brom Predictions
Bristol City came oh so close to an FA Cup shock when these teams met at the Hawthorns. The second half sprung to life when Saido Berahino put the Baggies in front but goals from Jonathan Kodjia and Keiran Agard looked set to have given Steve Cotterill's men a famous victory. That was until the fifth minute of injury time when James Morrison nicked a last gasp equaliser.
Things have changed for the Robins since then. Steve Cotterill got sacked after just one win in 11 left the club in the relegation zone. John Pemberton and Wade Elliott have taken over on a temporary basis for now, and got off to the best possible start with a win against top of the league Middlesbrough. It was an injury time strike from Wes Burns that won it but the whole performance was impressive and will surely give the home side confidence going into this replay.
West Brom have only won three away games this season. They got a good point at Stamford Bridge but then succumbed to a 3-0 defeat away to a rejuvenated Southampton side. They're going to be missing top scorer Morrison, he'll be out for a couple of months, and Darren Fletcher faces a late fitness test. Whether Berahino starts this one is yet to be seen. He's not started since October, but fellow strikers Salomon Rondon, Rickie Lambert and Victor Anichebe have hardly been firing.
Goalkeeper Max O'Leary is likely to start this one as Richard O'Donnell is ineligible and Frank Fielding is still suffering with a muscle injury. O'Leary made his debut at the Hawthorns, coming on at half time for Fielding, and what an occasion to make his home debut in front of an Ashton Gate crowd who will be well up for this one.
FA Cup games are always tough to bet on but I think a so-called shock is on the cards here for my FA Cup betting tips. After beating promotion favourites Middlesbrough with an impressive attacking display Bristol City's confidence will be sky high and they will go for this. John Pemberton has said he wants to stay at the club and what a signal this would send if they could gain a Premier League scalp and progress to the Fourth Round of the cup. West Brom aren't in good form at the moment and this is probably a good time to face them.
For my first Bristol City v West Brom prediction I’m betting on Bristol City to win, the best odds are 14/5 with Ladbrokes.

There were four goals in this at the Hawthorns and I think there could be a few here. Tony Pulis' men have only kept one clean sheet in 12, and the clean sheet against Middlesbrough was the Robins' first since early November. I think both sides will get on the scoresheet again so my second tip is for both teams to score and over 2.5 goals in 90 minutes.
My second football prediction for Bristol City v West Brom tonight is both teams to score and over 2.5 goals, the odds are 6/4 at William Hill.

My last time is going to be an anytime goalscorer bet, I'm going for Jonathan Kodjia to score anytime. He's Bristol City's leading goalscorer this term, scoring ten, not a bad return in a side that's been struggling. If the home side are going to win this, they'll need him at his best. He's proved he can score against this defence, having scored a headed equaliser at the Hawthorns.
For my third Bristol City v West Brom betting tip tonight I'm going for the striker to score anytime. Bet365 have the best odds of 13/5.
