Brighton vs QPR Predictions, Betting Tips and Preview

Brighton vs QPR betting tips and predictions for the Championship fixture. See our three football tips, reasons for each bet and the best odds for the selections.

The first of two Championship games on Tuesday comes from the AMEX as Brighton host struggling QPR. We’ve got three of the best bets for the match which kicks off at 12:30.

Brighton left it late against Birmingham on Saturday to inflict misery on Gianfranco Zola in his first game in charge. The Italian was hoping his side had clung on for a point, but it wasn’t to be. It wasn’t Brighton’s best performance of the season and they could have been further behind had Michael Kieftenbeld found the net instead of the woodwork in the first half. Brighton have terrific spirit though and never give up. Solly March made a difference when he arrived on the scene and Brighton fans will be glad to see him return from injury. His skill and vision created the goal for Anthony Knockaert and March could have done enough to merit a start in this match. They are still hot on the heels of Newcastle and are waiting for the Magpies to slip up. Chris Hughton’s side have been formidable at the AMEX this campaign, conceding just 8 goals all season. They’ve won four of the last five here and will fancy their chances of extending that run.

The fairytale return hasn’t happened for Ian Holloway yet. If he thought dipping back into management would be easy, QPR have shown him otherwise. Since a narrow 2-1 win against ten man Norwich, they have failed to pick up a single point. The Bristolian could be presiding over a 6th consecutive defeat for the R’s and they are slipping closer to the relegation zone. Holloway admitted he doesn’t have a goalscorer in the side and that’s a huge problem at any level. They created numerous chances against Derby, carving out opportunity after opportunity but failing to find a way past Scott Carson. The Rams went up the other end and netted through Tom Ince and it was game over. They haven’t been battered by any side recently, except Ipswich, but a lack of potency is hindering them. One goal in four away games is a very poor return and with Brighton’s cast iron defence, it’s hard to see them finding a way past.

Brighton vs QPR Betting Predictions

Brighton feel a little too short to back, so take them to win and keep a clean sheet in the process for our first Brighton vs QPR betting tip this week. Brighton to win and Both Teams to Score? No is 6/5 with Bet365.

Glenn Murray has netted in each of Brighton’s last four home games and should be backed to do so again so he’s our anytime goalscorer tip and second Brighton vs QPR prediction, the best odds are 6/5 with bet365.

This should be fairly straightforward to Brighton. They net twice often at home (4 of the last 7). QPR haven’t been scoring on the road, so back a 2-0 win for the Seagulls to complete our Brighton vs QPR betting tips with this correct score at 6/1 with Paddy Power.

Brighton vs QPR Team News

The aforementioned Solly March is pushing for a start after impressing with a cameo against Birmingham. The same applies for Oliver Norwood, who showed good craft on Saturday.

The defence is likely to remain unchanged and it includes Bruno, who is set to make his 71st consecutive start for the club in the league.

QPR are without Jordan Cousins and Jack Robinson, who are both injury doubts.

Jamie Mackie could come back into the side as Ian Holloway desperately searches for goals.

Brighton vs QPR Head to Head

Brighton have won the last three meetings here between the sides with QPR failing to find the net in any of them.

The Seagulls won 4-0 here in April.

QPR haven’t beaten Brighton away since 2004 when they triumphed 3-2.

Brighton vs QPR Betting Odds

Brighton start very short for this match at around 8/15 with most bookmakers. QPR are not very popular in the market and appear to be drifting out. You can get them at around 13/2. The draw is 3/1.

In-form Glenn Murray leads the way in the goalscoring market.
