Nestled among Friday’s International friendlies is Albania v Ukraine. We’ll be seeing more of both of these sides this summer as they warm up ahead of Euro 2016 and this betting preview includes three tips. Taking place in Bergamo, this friendly kicks off at 19:30 on Friday evening at the foot of the Alps. Ukraine have had the dominance in previous meetings, but Albania are improving and are anticipating their debut in the tournament in under two weeks.

Albania vs Ukraine Predictions
Both of these sides have been in decent form. Ukraine overcame Slovenia to qualify through the play-offs and have won their subsequent three matches. A couple of 1-0 victories over Wales and Cyrus were followed by a topsy-turvy 4-3 victory over Romania. Oleksandr Zinchenko scored in that game and the teenage winger was a surprise inclusion to the 23-man squad which was named at the end of May. They have a tough staer to Euro 2016, facing Germany on June 12th and will want to take plenty of momentum into the tournament.
Unlike their opponents tonight, they have plenty of experience of this tournament and many of the squad from four years ago will return this summer. Andriy Yarmolenko is a familiar name and as Ukraine’s second all-time leading goalscorer, there will be expectation on his shoulders this summer. Yehven Konoplyanka is another key player, who could have a huge say in Ukraine’s progress in France.
Lorik Cana is probably the stand-out name in Albania’s 23-man squad this summer. Albania’s emphasis is often on defence and with France and Switzerland in their group, they will need to be at their sharpest. Just four strikers have been picked, although Shkelzen Gashi will be a familiar name to MLS fans.

Romania will be their most realistic target and with both sides keeping it tight, don’t expect their encounter on the 19th of June to be a classic. A few people are tipping them to spring a surprise, but it will be tough going for a side who lack goals.
