It’s a Lancashire derby and another Friday night fixture for Bolton as Wigan visit the Macron Stadium.

Neil Lennon appears to have sorted out Bolton’s home form as they were very impressive on Tuesday night emerging 3-0 winners against a resurgent Cardiff. They haven’t won away under his stewardship, but we are predicting they should have too much for Wigan here.

Uwe Rosler has said his strike force need to start firing as they are woefully short of goals. Martyn Waghorn and Oriol Riera only have a handful between them and Andy Delort hasn’t managed a goal in the Championship yet. If Wigan turn in a performance similar to their 3-3 draw with Fulham, they may have a chance of getting something from the game, but performances of that kind of lustre have been few and far between.

Joe Mason started well on his 3rd loan spell with the club, but has been unable to carry that on.
