Hull City are in for a baptism of fire as they return to the Premier League just in time for a spanking from Chelsea.
‘The Happy One’ is back and will look to take out some pent up frustration on a hapless Steve Bruce. Hull have strengthened over the summer and the acquisition of Tom Huddlestone looks like a great piece of business- but they are a class below Chelsea.
In terms of picking out a man of the match (MOTM) or highest rated player (HRP) it looks one-sided; in a mauling the only contenders will be attacking players. I can see Chelsea swapping their strikers in any scenario meaning Lukaku, Torres and Ba are unlikely to play 90 minutes.
Whittling down the contenders leaves Oscar, Mata, Hazard and Ramires- and unsurprisingly these four are top of the HRP market, which has better value than the MOTM market for this game.
At 8/1 I cannot see past Juan Mata and he should be much shorter. He is 6/1 for MOTM and he is a massive favourite of the Sky Sports commentators, but with HRP there is no messing about, if he creates and scores the most goals then he will win.
Eden Hazard should be covered at 8/1 too after an impressive pre season.
