Football Accumulator Tip for Saturday 17th August at 20/1

Accumulator Betting Tips.jpg

The long awaited return of The Premier League is finally here! The Football League has been up and running for the past two weeks providing us with all the drama and spills we love from the lower tiers.

This weekend sees the big event finally kick off though with all twenty Premier League teams in action across the weekend and we have got our weekend accumulator tip for you.

This five-fold for Saturday’s 3PM kick offs gives great odds of over 20/1 with William Hill and if one selection lets the bet down we will be getting our stake refunded as a free bet under William Hill's 'acca insurance'.

Arsenal to beat Aston Villa 4/11:

Short odds but with good reason. Arsenal should roll over Aston Villa to get their season off to the perfect start. Arsenal finished last season strongly going on a ten game unbeaten streak to qualify for the Champions League. Villa struggled on the road, picking up just five wins but the issue was defending. Villa conceded more than any other team away from home last season and Arsenal’s attack should have too much for them. Arsenal lost just three times at the Emirates last season and I don’t expect Villa to beat them here.

West Ham to beat Cardiff 19/20:

New boys Cardiff City open their campaign with a tough looking trip to Upton Park. West Ham have signed very well over the summer, tying down Andy Carroll permanently, Razan Rat joining to play at left back and Stewart Downing joining from Liverpool. They will hope to build on last seasons 10th place finish and should get off to a perfect start against Cardiff. Cardiff have certainly spent money this summer, bringing in Steven Caulker, Gary Medel and Andreas Cornelius and they have a good chance of staying up but they should fall to an opening day defeat. West Ham lost just four games at home last season and they have far too much quality for Cardiff who failed to win 13 of their away games last season.

Birmingham to beat Brighton 7/4:

Following an opening day defeat against much fancied Watford Birmingham looked to have turned a corner in their season. They overcame lower league Plymouth in extra time in the League Cup and picked up a good away win at Yeovil last weekend. The start of Brighton’s season has been nothing short of a disaster. Since Gus Poyet’s departure they have lost both their opening league fixtures and been dumped out the cup by League 2 Newport. With former boss Poyet looking set to sue the club and struggling for form there is a real negativity around the AMEX and with Birmingham picking up form they should dispatch of Brighton.

QPR to beat Ipswich 10/11:

After the disillusion of last season, QPR fans will be happy to be back playing some good football and winning matches. They’ve opened the season with a win against Sheffield Wednesday a cup win over Exeter and an away draw against Huddersfield. They take on an Ipswich side who have by no means had a bad start as they beat Millwall 3-0 last time out. However they have lost their two away games so far this season to Reading and Stevenage. A lot of what Ipswich did last season was built on home form and against a team packed with quality like QPR, they should struggle.

Peterborough to beat Oldham 8/13:

Peterborough’s time spent in League One could be brief if their start to the season is anything to go by. In their opening two League games they have beaten Swindon and Notts County while they have also progressed in the League Cup. The Posh have looked really impressive and far too good for this level. After an opening day victory over Stevenage, Oldham have hit the sort of form which saw them in a relegation scrap last season losing in both the League Cup and to Walsall in the league. Peterborough have been scoring goals for fun, managing ten in their three games so far this season and should have too much firepower for Oldham.
