Bournemouth v Southampton – Bournemouth win

The Cherries have shown decent form at home this season. When the season is over, few will remember their dogged 1-0 win over Leicester on Tuesday night, but many will reminisce about the 4-3 comeback success over Liverpool. Away from home, there is still plenty of work to do, but they are decent at the Vitality and should get the three points from this South Coast derby. Southampton haven’t travelled well this season and are short on firepower. They failed to find the net against ten men Stoke on Wednesday night and missed numerous chances. Charlie Austin is absent, so Shane Long leads the line, but he isn’t prolific enough. The Saints haven’t won on the road since beating West Ham at the London Stadium and need to turn it around quickly. Bournemouth won 2-0 here earlier in the year.

 

Pescara v Bologna – Draw

These two sides are struggling for form in the league and could play out a draw. These teams couldn’t be separated when they last met in the Serie B play-offs which finished level after two legs. Pescara haven’t won this season and the fans aren’t happy. Bologna haven’t won in 14 attempts away from home and although this looks like a golden opportunity to end that barren run, they cannot be trusted. They’ve netted just 14 goals in 16 games this season and have failed to find the net in 5 of their last 6 games. Pescara have drawn two of their last four home games, picking up points against Sampdoria and Cagliari.

 

Udinese v Crotone – Udinese win

Udinese have picked up back to back victories and arrive here in good spirits. They won in stoppage time against Bologna 10 days ago before beating Atalanta convincing. They probably didn’t deserve the three points, but they were clinical when it mattered and could beat lowly Crotone. The Calabrese side have improved remarkably since the start of the season, but their away form remains a concern and they haven’t been able to record a victory on the road yet. They tend to score in each fixture, but can’t keep sides off the scoresheet. Udinese could move into midtable with a victory here and that will be enough of an incentive to secure a maximum return.

 

Genoa v Palermo – Genoa win

Our final selection from Serie A kicks off at 19:45 and sees home specialists Genoa take on struggling Palermo. The hosts played the remained 70 minutes of their abandoned fixture on Thursday night and emerged 1-0 winners. They’ve already beaten Juventus and AC Milan here this season and should be able to see off struggling Palermo. The visitors are under new managements and whilst there have been positives, they lost to Fiorentina and tamely at home to Chievo, a side who don’t travel well. Palermo lost 4-0 here in January and a similar scoreline could be on the cards here.

 

Deportivo La Coruna v Osasuna – Deportivo win

Our final selection comes from La Liga where the home side will be much fancied to claim victory. Deportivo have scored plenty this season with 20 scored in 17 matches and hit 5 last time out against Real Sociedad. They also found a way past Sevilla, twice, but couldn’t hold on. They’ve only lost once in the last four games here and they should be able to see off struggling Osasuna. The visitors have lost three consecutive games on the road and lie bottom of the table with 5 consecutive defeats to their name. They’ve scored just 13 times this season and could find Deportivo hard to handle.
