Danny Graham – Blackburn (v Reading)
We’ve backed the former Sunderland man two weeks ago and he obliged for our weekend football tips. His strike against Huddersfield came at Ewood Park and he followed it up with a brace in the Lancashire derby at Deepdale at the weekend. Graham is a natural finisher and often needs a run of games to find his shooting boots. He’s getting plenty of minutes and is linking up well with Sam Gallagher. He is the Blackburn penalty taker and may get the chance from the spot here. Reading have been a little sloppy at the back away from home and have shipped 7 goals in their last couple of outings. He has 7 goals in 18 appearances this season, but 5 of those have arrived since mid-November.
Luke Berry – Cambridge (v Crewe)
Cambridge are climbing up the League Two table in recent weeks after a poor start to the season. Shaun Derry’s side have finally found their groove and they are scoring goals. Midfielder Luke Berry is part of the reason for their success and he is deadly from a set-piece. He also drives the side forward and has plundered 13 goals this campaign. Not bad for a midfielder. He’s netted 7 times in his last four games including being responsible for all four goals in the FA Cup win over League One Coventry. 8 of his 13 goals have arrived at the Abbey Stadium and he could strike again here. Cambridge will be expected to see off a Crewe side, who have stuttered of late. They gave away cheap goals against Crawley and more defensive mistakes here will surely lead to Berry getting on the scoresheet.
James Collins – Crawley (v Newport)
Crawley got back to winning ways last weekend as they saw off Crewe by 2 goals to nil. James Collins netted both, capitalising on defensive errors. The former Shrewsbury man is a natural finisher and has scored goals up and down the Football League. He’s found the net 11 times for the Sussex club this season with three strikes in the last four. They face Newport, who had their game abandoned last weekend. The Welsh side sit bottom of the table and have struggled of late. Their mini-resurgence which coincided with the arrival of new manager Graham Westley is over and they are back to square one. They shipped four to Blackpool in their last away outing and if they defend like that again, Collins should get opportunities to complete our football betting tip for Saturday’s games.
