Football Accumulator Tips 25th November
Freiburg v RP Leipzig – RB Leipzig win
RP Leipzig have created history and are surprising everybody in Germany. They top the Bundesliga after beating Leverkusen last week and Bayern failing to see off Dortmund. They have had plenty of success in their short history and they should be able to increase their lead on Friday night. By the time Bayern face Leverkusen on Saturday afternoon, RB Leipzig could be a whopping six points clear. Nobody expected to win at the Bayer Arena last week, so I can’t see them tripping up here. Freiburg have lost their last couple of games including a disappointing defeat to Wolfsburg here. Their opponents have won just one of the last five, but ran out convincing winners. RB Leipzig may have shipped two last week, but they’ve only conceded 9 all season are looking solid. Freiburg have conceded 7 goals in 2 games and their defence will come under scrutiny from the Leipzig players here. The away team should pull away at the top.

Rennes v Toulouse – Rennes win
One match in Ligue 1 on Friday night sees Rennes take on Toulouse. Rennes have been magnificent at home all season winning 5/7 and drawing the other 2. It’s been a major part of their success this season helping move them up to 6th in the table. At the Roazhon they are going to be a tough proposition for an out of form Toulouse. The visitors started the season magnificently and were flying high. They beat PSG and were keeping things tight. They have slipped recently with no win in the last four and disappointing home defeats to Lyon and Metz. Away from home, their form isn’t bad, but they have only won once and that was against struggling Lille. They’ve hit just four goals in seven away matches and Rennes may have too much for them at home.

Troyes v Clermont – Troyes win
Troyes were relegated from the top flight last season and were struggling to adapt to life in the second tier. But, they’ve started to turn it around and have four wins from the last five which has moved them up to 2nd in the table. They also possess the 2nd best home form in the league. They’ve won 8 times so far and 5 of them have come at home with just a single defeat here all season. They’ve beaten 10th place GFC Ajaccio, 14th place Valenciennes and 15th place Bourg-Perronas keeping clean sheets in all three. Clermont have average away form with two wins from seven. They are without a win in four matches on their travels, losing to 7th place Niort and 4th place Reims. They haven’t won at this ground in the last four attempts with their last victory arriving in 2009.
Go Ahead Eagles v Willem II – Go Ahead Eagles win
A strange match this one because both sides are struggling, but they are equally capable of pulling off a shock. Go Ahead Eagles beat leaders Feyenoord 1-0 in their last home match which for me gives them the edge here. They weren’t able to follow it up losing to Heracles leaving them second bottom of the Eredivisie table. But at home, they’ve won 50% of their games (3/6) and drawn once. It’ll be their home that keeps them in the division and they need to pick up points in these types of games. Willem II have won just once away from home this season and it came at the Amsterdam Arena. Beating Ajax is an achievement, but they were still finding their feet under new coach Peter Bosz at that point and Willem II were unable to follow it up. They have failed to score in three of their last four away games and that’s a real concern for the 3rd bottom club.
Setubal v Rio Ave – Setubal win
Our final selection comes from Portugal. Setubal have improved of late with a three match unbeaten run. Since back to back defeats, they drew with Feirense and held Porto to a 0-0 draw here before beating out of form Moreirense. They are improving and climbing the table and have won two of the last four fixtures against Rio Ave so should be confident of getting the job done. Rio Ave don’t have a bad away record, but they are currently out of form. Their defence is proving a problem having conceded 15 goals already this season, 10 of those have arrived in the last five matches which is particularly disappointing and something which needs to be addressed quickly. They did lose on the road to Ferreira a few games back and they haven’t gone on to win since. Rio Ave might find it hard to keep a confident Setubal out.
