It’s Matchday 4 in the group stages of the Europa League on Thursday with a number of teams able to secure their passage to the next round with a victory here. We’ve picked out the match in which we believe there will be plenty of goals.

Both Teams to Score Tips
Ajax v Celta Vigo
Goals have followed Celta Vigo around recently and this weekend they blew a three goal lead away at Las Palmas. They were cruising with three first half strikes against the out of form La Liga team but then conceded in the second half before going down to 10 men. They have previously beaten Barcelona 4-3 and when they hosted Ajax two weeks ago, it finished 2-2. They are proving a very entertaining team to watch this season and with the dutch side able to qualify with a win here, both teams should be going all out to secure the three points. Celta Vigo have now netted seven goals in two goals with Iago Aspas netting four in those games. He could be a good bet for an anytime goalscorer in this one, but Celta Vigo will surely continue their attacking style here. Ajax often keep it tight in the Eredivisie and they secured a 1-0 win at the weekend, but against better opposition and in this competition, they tend to concede. This should be a cracker.
FC Zurich v Steaua Bucharest
These two sides met a fortnight ago and shared a 1-1 draw in Romania. It was a decent game with FC Zurich dominating and probably should have claimed all three points. They meet again in Switzerland and since that game, Zurich have seen 14 goals in their subsequent three matches. They have plenty of firepower and despite plying their trade in the Swiss second tier, they have proved they can mix it with the big boys, scoring against all three of their Europa League opponents so far. They are level on points with Osmanlispor and if they better their result they could leapfrog them with two games to go. Steaua Bucharest aren’t at their best, but they tend to find the net in most games. They’ve drawn their last couple of games 1-1 in this competition and desperately need the points to avoid being eliminated at the group stage.

Athletic Bilbao v Genk
In the league, Athletic Bilbao are always good for a BTTS bet and we’re hoping it translates to the Europa League. The Spanish side are looking for revenge after a 2-0 defeat in Belgium a fortnight ago and they should be able to find a way past them. In the league, Genk haven’t kept a clean sheet away from home since the opening weekend of the season in August. They don’t defend as effectively on the road and could be exposed by Bilbao. Genk lead the way in this group, but Bilbao desperately need the points here to potentially move off the bottom of the group. Adruiz should start and he is always a danger. Genk have scored seven goals in their three matches in the competition so far and will look to extend their lead at the top of the table.
Gent v Shakhtar
And, we’re sticking with Belgian clubs for the final selection as Gent host Shakhtar on Thursday evening in Group H. The Ukrainian side could qualify here with a win and they should attack from the start. The former winners of the tournament will want to qualify on Matchday 4 and have a comfortable evening. They haven’t conceded in the tournament yet, but this is probably going to be their toughest test away in Belgium. They were always favourites to win both of their home matches and they also saw off Konyaspor in the first round of games. Gent sit 2nd and won’t want to give their opponents any room to manoeuvre. Victory here takes them within two points of their opponents and it’s a real incentive to get on the scoresheet.
