Aston Villa vs Fulham Predictions, Betting Tips and Preview

Aston Villa vs Fulham betting tips and predictions for this weekend’s 3pm Championship fixture on Saturday 22nd October with the best odds for each betting tip.

Aston Villa look to be turning a corner already under new boss Steve Bruce and they face Fulham at Villa Park on Saturday afternoon. We’ve got the best betting tips for the game in the Championship.

Aston Villa got their first away win in 438 days in midweek as they scored late on to see off Reading at the Majeski. There’s definitely something about Steve Bruce and his ability to galvanise a side and he appears to be already having an impact on the Villains. They are a talented bunch, but the mentality has been hard to shake, but Bruce looks like the man to sort it out. They will look to get the fans back on side as they host Fulham at Villa Park. They’re yet to lose here, but have picked up five draws from their opening six games here and fans have not seen maximum points picked up since the 13th of August. Fulham have improved of late as well. Slavisa Jokanovic’s side had a forgettable September, but have progressed nicely with 4 points from 6 in the last seven days. The midweek 2-2 draw with Norwich was particularly impressive and helped knock the Canaries off top spot. Chris Martin is proving a shrewd acquisition with two goals in two. They won their last away game 4-2 at Oakwell and will be full of confidence as they travel to the midlands.

Aston Villa vs Fulham Betting Predictions

I’m going to side with home team here for my first Aston Villa vs Fulham betting tip. It’s not often we tip Aston Villa for the victory, but they looked lively on Tuesday night and I think back at home they can turn 1 point into 3. Fulham may have won at Barnsley, but the Tykes are slipping down the table at an alarming rate and Villa will be much harder to break down.

Fulham will play their part in this game and will provide plenty of threat. They’ve netted six in two games and will be brimming with confidence. This could be an entertaining one so we’re getting on over 2.5 goals for our second Aston Villa vs Fulham prediction this weekend.

Anytime Goalscorer Prediction

Ross McCormack will be keen to score against his former club, but might not be fit enough to play much of a part In this one. Jonathon Kodjia looks to have found his groove though and should be the man to back here so he’s our anytime goalscorer tip for Aston Villa vs Fulham.

Aston Villa vs Fulham Team News

Ross McCormack wasn’t in the 18 in midweek and may have to sit this one out against his former club. Jonathon Kodjia and Rudy Gestede look set to get the nod once again.

Gary Gardner impressed against Reading and looks set to keep his place in the side.

Other players pushing for a start under their new manager are Jordan Ayew, who marked his appearance with a goal and the French left back Jordan Amavi.

Tomas Kalas continues to be absent for Fulham. The defence continues to be shakier without the Chelsea loanee, who has a few more weeks on the sidelines.

Tom Cairney should return here though after missing the midweek draw with Norwich. He’s returned to training along with Floyd Ayite.

Head to Head Stats

These two last met competitively in the Premier League in 2014 where Fulham won 2-1 at Villa Park. Hugo Rodallega and Kieran Richardson were the goalscorers. Villa have only won two of the last five here against the Cottagers going back to 2009.

Aston Villa vs Fulham Betting Odds

Villa are the favourites for this one, but remain a decent price. 23/20 is the biggest price available on Steve Bruce’s men. The draw is priced 13/5 with the Fulham win fractionally shorter at around 5/2.

The Aston Villa front three of Ross McCormack, Jonathon Kodjia and Rudy Gestede dominate the first goalscorer market.
