Hapoel Beer Sheva sit second in the group behind Southampton and similar to the Saints, they haven’t conceded in this competition since the group stage began. Israel is not a place many sides enjoy visiting in this competition and very few come away with anything to show for it. Sticking with Group K, I fancy the Saints to continue their fine run of form against an Inter side who have major problems. Defeat against Cagliari on Sunday meant it was three consecutive defeats for Frank De Boer’s side and the manager has a real task in managing the Mauro Icardi situation. It was a decent result against a team who are known for their potent attack, but there may be an element of fatigue here for the visit of the Turkish side. They overcame Zorya, but only by a single goal in a somewhat laboured performance and they aren’t scoring enough goals. Two goals in their last three games isn’t enough to be confident about a victory here. They are defending diligently though with Eric Bailly proving a worthy addition to the backline. Jose Mourinho sides are stubborn and hard to break down. Fenerbahce haven’t lost any of their last six games and look a very solid outfit. They’ve only conceded five goals in six games and this one could be a case of two sides cancelling one another out.
