Spurs vs Man City Prediction
Pep still hasn’t been defeated as Manchester City manager and Sunday sees one of his toughest assignments yet. Spurs have been in decent form and Heung-Min Son has been finding the back of the net with regularity. Man City were somewhat disappointing on Wednesday night as they could only draw 3-3 with Celtic, their defending looked suspect and Pep will surely tweak things ahead of this one. Spurs’ defending hasn’t been textbook either, but they did keep CSKA Moscow at bay and going to Russia in midweek is never easy. Both bosses are very astute and will have presided meticulously over the tactics for this match. I can’t see either side gaining an advantage and surely the best play is to back to draw.

Cagliari vs Crotone Prediction
A short priced selection for the accumulator as Crotone look to put their wretched start behind them. They were battered by Atalanta earlier in the week, which was a poor result given their opponents struggles on the road. They were behind as early as the 2nd minute. Crotone have hit just four goals in six games so far and their solid defence which stood up so well in Serie B has all but crumbled. Just one point in their last five games is not good enough. Travelling to Cagliari is not ideal as not many teams bring points back from the island. Cagliari are yet to lose at home this season with only a 2-2 draw against Roma preventing it being 9 points from 9. They are tough to beat and they score goals here. They’ll put a few past Crotone.

Bologna vs Genoa Prediction
Another home win in Serie A on Sunday afternoon as Bologna should be able to continue their fine start to the season. They haven’t faced the trickiest assignments, but they remain unbeaten at home conceding just a single goal in their three matches here so far. They’ve hit five goals. Their away form needs work, but this isn’t a concern for us this weekend. Genoa have played just two away matches so far and picked up one win and one defeat. The victory came at rock bottom Crotone (1-3) whilst the defeat was inflicted by Sassuolo. They recently held Pescara to a 1-1 draw, but when down to 9 men in that game and Edenilson and Goran Pandev will both have to sit out here. They can’t seem to keep players on the field as they also went down to 10 against Sassuolo. It’ll be tight, as Genoa haven’t been bad in defence recently, but I think Bologna can take all three points.

Aves vs Leixoes Prediction
We’re off to the Portuguese second tier for this match as Aves host Leixoes. The away side have a scoring issue – they don’t do much of it! They drew 0-0 in midweek and they’ve now hit just a single goal in five league games. Their defence is decent and keeps a number of clean sheets, but it’s not a system for the long term as sooner rather than later cracks will start to appear. They face a decent side in Aves who do score goals, they’ve hit 13 in their opening 8 games. They’ve also conceded 10, but they shouldn’t be too worried by the Leixoes attack. Leixoes did have 6 shots on target in midweek, but only managed 2 in their last away matches and have picked up a single point and scored a solitary goal in their four matches on their travels. Aves have picked up 7 points from a possible 12 at home and should have enough about them here.

Zenit St Petersburg vs Spartak Moscow Prediction
One of two huge games in the Russian Premier League on Sunday as Rostov take on CSKA at 5pm, but before that Zenit host leaders Spartak Moscow. The away side tamely lost at home to Ufa last week which is worrying. They’ve been imperious up until this point although they’ve faced some easy opponents recently (Orenburg, Lokomotiv etc). The fact they couldn’t score at home to Ufa is worrying and surely an in-form Zenit will put them to the sword. True, Zenit played in midweek, but they were at home, which always reduces any possible fatigue and they hit five against AZ, a decent side in the Netherlands. Things are clicking together for the St Petersburg side and there were goals for Kokorin and Guiliano again. 18 goals scored in 8 games isn’t a bad return and although their defence still needs improvement, they should have no problems finding the net here at home.
