Friday’s Football Accumulator Tips

Reading v Ipswich Tip – Reading win

Reading have started solidly under Jaap Stam and are strong here at the Majeski. Ipswich have been poor on the road in 2016, winning just twice and they’re suffering a bit of a striker crisis ahead of this. Daryl Murphy has left, David McGoldrick is injured and Freddie Sears is out of form. Reading held high flying Brighton to a 2-2 draw in their latest home match and they beat Ipswich 5-1 here last season. Nobody is expecting a repeat of that scoreline here, but I think the Royals are a strong bet in front of their own fans. With Callum Harriott, Roy Beerens and Gareth McCleary they have plenty of creativity in midfield and striker Yann Kermogant got off the mark before the International Break.

Amiens v Tours Tip – Amiens win

Amiens have risen to Ligue 2 and started the season exceptionally. They’ve only conceded four goals in their opening 5 games and look solid at the back. They had enough about them to see off Nimes away last time out winning 3-2. They are scoring goals and should have too much for Tours. The away side have only lost once in five games, but they’ve also claimed just a single victory. They did win away at Niort, but at the end of last season they struggled for any consistency on the road with just one win from the last 6 on the road. Amiens have carried their momentum into this season and haven’t lost here since the 27th of February. An impressive record and one which looks set to continue here.

Brest v Clermont Tip – Brest win

Sticking with Ligue 2, the leaders Brest were impressive before the International Break as they came from 2 down against Sochaux to claim a late point. They have shown they can score goals this season Brest and they look solid against teams further down the table. They’ve averaging 2 goals a game compared to their opponents 4 strikes in 5 matches. Clermont are on their own mini-run and have won their last couple of games, but they are against formidable opponents here who have always been strong at home. They’ve also beaten Valenciennes in their last home game and have the goals of Neal Maupay and Christian Battochio to fire them towards Ligue 1 this season.

FK Rostov v Krylya Sovetov Tip – FK Rostov win

Off to the Russian Premier League for the 4th selection in our accumulator. Rostov have been able to have a bit of a break after their endeavours in the UEFA Europa League and the start of the Russian Premier League. They have been decent so far, seeing off Ajax and beating Tomsk and Orenburg at home here. Sovetov (or Samara as they are also known) haven’t got off to the ideal start and are still looking for their first victory of the season. They’ve scored just a single in their opening 5 matches which is a hugely disappointing return for a side which ended the previous campaign in solid fashion.

Rostov should take all three points here. There is still uncertainty around the future of the management and players, but they have the talent to see of their opposition here.

Zaglebie v Plock Tip – Zaglebie win

Zaglebie need to start turning draws into wins, but they’re extremely difficult to beat. At home, I think they can get three points here against a Plock side who have just shown signs of fragility recently. Zaglebie have won the last two meetings between the sides 1-0 and it could be a similar result here. The home side have only conceded two goals this campaign so far and are on a run of four consecutive draws. Plock currently occupy 11th position in the league and their record of conceding 10 goals in 7 games doesn’t look too impressive. They lost at home to Korona Kielce last time out and could be vulnerable here against a very well organised home side.
