Both Teams to Score Tips on Saturday
Huddersfield v Brentford
The Wagner revolution rolls on in West Yorkshire and Huddersfield fans are rightly confident of a productive season under the German coach. Unknown names have rolled into the John Smith’s Stadium, but many of them specifically recruited and were captains of their former sides. Michael Hefele should add some stability at the back for the Terriers, but they also offer plenty going forward. Last season, Harry Bunn and Nakhi Wells terrorised many a defence in the Championship and should do the same again. Jack Payne should add an attacking dimension to the side. Brentford were a good bet for BTTS last season and should be again. Scott Hogan will be amongst the top goalscorers in the league if he stays fit. Romaine Sawyers likes to roam forward and Dean Smith’s side are always good for a goal. He’s been putting the priority on defending in training, but it might be difficult to keep Huddersfield out.

Rochdale v Peterborough
Keith Hill admitted he could have left the club in the summer, but Dale fans will be glad he’s still in charge for the 2016-17 season. Hill has consistently improved his side and they’re always hard to overcome at Spotland. BTTS landed in 7 of their first 11 games last season and with Peterborough likely to attack, it should be an entertaining first day encounter. Grant McCann is in charge and his tenure included a 5-1 win over Blackpool on the final day of the season. Jermaine Anderson should be back and the midfielder loves a goal or two whereas Shaquille Coulthirst has been firing them in during pre-season after a disappointing 2015-16. Four of the last six meetings between these sides have seen both sides find the back of the net and this is one for our weekend both teams to score tip.
Scunthorpe v Bristol Rovers
Scunny are many people’s outsiders for promotion this season and they looked good under Graham Alexander last season narrowly missing out on the play-offs. They should be able to push forward with that momentum and score here at Glamford Park. Bristol Rovers were entertaining to watch in League Two last season and deservedly claimed promotion on the final day of the season. Their away results towards the end of last season include a 1-4, 3-5 and 1-3. Darrell Clarke has kept hold of top scorer Matty Taylor and he should be a threat to many defences this season. Paddy Madden might not make this one after picking up an injury but Luke Williams, Kevin Van Veen and Tom Hopper offer a threat and they should be able to find a way through.

Cambridge v Barnet
Barnet were another side good for a BTTS last season and with John Akinde still in their ranks, they should be a very real threat. Jamal Campbell Ryce has been added and his width should provide more chances for the Bees. Jean Louis Akpa Akpro should get plenty of goals at this level and many were quite surprised he pitched up at the Hive. Cambridge are outsiders for promotion and Joe Pigott is a very good signing this season. Luke Berry scored plenty from midfield and they should be troubling the right end of the table under Shaun Derry. Their matches during the pre-season have been very high scoring and we’re hoping that continues here.
