Accumulator Tips for Tonight

Sheffield Wednesday v Blackburn – Sheffield Wednesday win

Wednesday could further cement their play-off place here with three points at Hillsborough. After a blip where they failed to win in five, they have since won three in a row which culminated in a late winner from Fernando Forestieri against Huddersfield on Saturday. They are hosting Blackburn here, a side who must surely have their minds on the beach. Paul Lambert’s side have little to play for as they sit in 15th place in the Championship and have lost three of the last four. Their only victory was against out-of-form Brentford. They are generally better at Ewood Park, but they came undone against Preston at the weekend and they might find Sheffield Wednesday too much of a handful. The Owls have won 11 times here this season and blew Charlton away last time out.

Odds for Sheffield Wednesday to beat Blackburn – 19/20 with bet365.

Preston v Fulham – Draw

Fulham are hitting a little bit of form at just the right time of the season. Deep in relegation trouble, the Cottagers got a point at St Andrews and then squeezed past fellow dwellers MK Dons at the weekend. They score plenty of goals, but cannot defend. They have drawn nine times away from home this season and this could be double figures. In fact, each of their last three away matches have ended all square. Preston beat Blackburn at the weekend and it’s been a terrific season back in the Championship for Simon Grayson and his side. They are very hard to beat at Deepdale, they are unbeaten in five here and have drawn their last two. Both sides would like the win here, but it will be another point closer to safety for Fulham. I fancy this one to end level.

Odds for Preston and Fulham to draw – 12/1 with bet365.

Middlesbrough v Huddersfield – Middlesbrough win

This one is a short price one to chuck in as Middlesbrough look to make it three wins in a row. Things seem to be back on track after the problems which threatened to derail their promotion campaign. A hard work 1-0 win over Hull was followed by a 2-3 victory at QPR. Loftus Road is a hard place to go and Boro seem to be scoring goals again. Huddersfield are pretty much safe and have little to play for, but the football under David Wagner has definitely improved and there’s plenty to look forward to next season. Jordan Rhodes scored against Rangers and he is likely to get the nod again. Players love goals against former clubs, so he will be out to do some damage here.  The Teessiders are within touching distance of the summit now and with Burnley collecting two points from their last two games, they will fancy their chances.

Odds for Middlesbrough to beat Huddersfield – 4/6 with bet365.

Oldham v Swindon – Oldham win

It’s all gone wrong for Swindon in the past few weeks. No win in five now for the Robins and Luke Williams is facing the first testing period of his managerial career in Wiltshire. They got hammered by Wigan and it was their persistence on playing the ball out from the back that caused them problems. They were hit for six by Scunthorpe and clearly hadn’t been learning from their mistakes. A draw at home to Fleetwood wasn’t bad, but I think they will struggle here at Boundary Park. Oldham have started to hit form here and are desperate for points. With the sudden improvement from Blackpool and win for Chesterfield at the weekend, they need this result. They have kept three clean sheets in their last four and even kept leaders (at the time) Burton quiet. I fancy them to win this, probably by a very narrow margin.

Odds for Oldham to beat Swindon – 21/20 with bet365.

Barrow v Braintree – Barrow win

Final selection from us is in the National League. Barrow sit in 13th place and are unbeaten in eight matches. They face Braintree who are playing their third consecutive away matches, losing the previous two. It’s a long journey for the side from Essex and I think they could struggle here. They’ve been up and down the country, facing Aldershot and Macclesfield and now they head to Cumbria. The teams that Barrow have beaten have been further down the table than today’s opponents, but winning breeds confidence and they’ve scored 11 goals in their last 5 games. Braintree had kept several clean sheets before conceding five goals in their last two matches and they haven’t won in any of their last seven on the road.

Odds for Barrow to beat Braintree – 23/20 with bet365.
