Augsburg v Liverpool Betting Tips

Liverpool have been scoring freely on the road this season under Jurgen Klopp and they’ve hit 11 goals in their last three matches away from Anfield. Although the German opposition will be a lot tougher than a practically relegated Villa side, I still think the Reds will have enough firepower to score past them. If Daniel Sturridge gets a game, he is always a threat, but there were six different scorers for Liverpool on Sunday, so they will happily spread the goals around. Augsburg scored in each one of their six Europa League games in the group stage and appear to be enjoying participating in this competition. They’ve only failed to score six times all season, two of which came in August and I think they’ll have enough goals in them, particularly at home to test Liverpool. The Germans have scored in four of their last six home games and Liverpool have kept just a single clean sheet since the 30th of November.

Villarreal v Napoli Betting Tips

This may not seem like an obvious choice, given Villareal’s recent penchant for keeping clean sheets, but this is tough opposition and keeping out the likes of Real Betis and Malaga is certainly not akin to the potent Italians. Napoli got knocked off the top spot at the weekend as they lost to Juventus, but they are still scoring plenty of goals. That was only the fourth time all season they’ve failed to score and just the third time away from home where they’ve drawn a blank. They have Higuain in form, he has notched eight times in the last seven games in Serie A and he should be a thorn in the side of the Spanish team. Although against easier opposition, Napoli scored seven goals in their three away matches in the Group stage of the competition and I think they will definitely get on the scoresheet here. Villareal have only failed to score once at home all season which is perfect for today’s both teams to score tip and although they rarely hit more than a single goal, they should get on the scoresheet in front of their own fans.

Anderlecht v Olympiakos Betting Tips

Olympiakos are dominated the Greek top division and are leading the way with style. They’ve been defeated just once all season but this will be a step up for them. The Belgian league is by no means a major force in Europe, but there are plenty of decent clubs with promising players on their books and one of those is Anderlecht. The Greek side have scored 53 goals domestically this season, which is mightily impressive, even against inferior opposition. They’ve only conceded 12 goals all season, but there is hope for Anderlecht as 75% of those have been away from home. Both teams scored in all three of the Belgian sides home matches in the competition during the Group Stage. Both sides have scored in seven of the last nine games domestically for Anderlecht including three of the last four. This one could go a similar way.

Sporting CP v Leverkusen Betting Tips

Leverkusen are off to Portugal for this tie with Sporting. The Portuguese side are leading the way domestically under Jorge Jesus and they are having a decent goalscoring season, having only failed to get on the scoresheet three times all campaign. Both teams scored in five of their six group matches in this competition with Sporting scoring nine times in this stadium. Leverkusen have scored 31 times this season and they’ve only failed to score once in eight games, that was against Champions Bayern Munich. Leverkusen are the 5th highest scorers in the Bundesliga and I think they’ll give Sporting a bit of a game here. Sporting have only kept one clean sheet in the last four home matches and they can be a little suspect defensively.
