League One Colchester United host Premier League Tottenham Hotspur at the Weston Homes Community Stadium on Saturday as the FA Cup Fourth Round continues and I have three football betting tips for this one.
Colchester United v Tottenham Predictions
Tottenham have had an excellent season so far and sit comfortably in the top four of the top tier. Many are suggesting they're title contenders, I'm not sure about that but surely if they can continue their form they're certainties to be playing Champions League football next season. They're on a run of three consecutive victories, including a great win away at Leicester City in the Third Round replay, and that winning streak should continue here.
Kevin Keen's men are in woeful form and face a battle to stay in League One. They sit bottom of the table with just 22 points from 28 games, conceding 65 goals in the process. They haven't won in the League since October. Their only wins recently have come in this competition, the latest being a 2-1 win over struggling Championship side Charlton Athletic. Defensively they've been poor and going forward they've not been much better, only scoring 3 goals in their last six games.

Spurs made eight changes to their team in that replay against the Foxes and I imagine they'll make a few here too. Heung-Min Son was outstanding in that game, scoring a stunner that set Spurs on their way to the Fourth Round and he's likely to start this one too with Harry Kane rested. This game isn't a case of will Spurs win, more a case of how many Spurs will win by. It should be a convincing away victory, it should be five or six, but this is the FA Cup and Colchester will welcome a break away from their troubles in the league and try and give a good account of themselves. With that in mind I'm going ever so slightly conservative with my next tip. I'm going into the handicap market and saying Tottenham will win this with a minus 2 handicap, meaning they will have to score at least three and win for the bet to come in.
