Both Teams to Score Tips this Weekend

 

Sampdoria v Napoli

Top of the table Napoli are the visitors to Sampdoria this weekend and it should give us plenty of entertainment. This fixture historically produces goals. It was 2-2 when they met earlier in the season, they’ve also played out a 4-2, a 1-1 and 2-5 in recent seasons. Napoli need to tighten up defensively if they are going to clinch the title come the end of the season. True, they still have the 3rd best defensive record in the league, but they’ve conceded in each of their last four league games and let Inter score past them twice in the Coppa Italia in midweek. Just two clean sheets in eight for the leaders and I think they’ll find Sampdoria hard to keep out. A good home record here for the hosts where they’ve collected 17 points from 10 home matches. Both teams have scored in six of their last eight matches with an away defeat at Udinese and a home win over Palermo the exceptions in that run. Sampdoria netted here against Juventus and I think they can notch against Napoli.

 

Deportivo v Valencia

Having watched Valencia play on Thursday night against Las Palmas in their Copa Del Rey match, they are still having problems at the back. A horrendous own goal gave the visitors the lead before a stunning striker from Alcacer got them back on level terms. A high line has been their undoing in recent weeks and any team who concede twice to Rayo Vallecano need examining. They do have plenty going forward, they scored twice against Real Madrid and once against Barcelona and can get on the scoresheet here. Deportivo are having a decent season in La Liga and they’ve scored six times in their last four home matches. Valencia have only failed to score twice in seven and I think they will find a way through.

 

ADO Den Haag v Cambuur

The 15:45 Eredivisie clash sees the improving Cambuur travel to The Hague to face ADO Den Haag. Two wins in the last three for Cambuur have pushed them slightly up the table and they will fancy getting something from this. The trouble is, they haven’t managed a clean sheet for 12 matches and ADO Den Haag will be in mood to put last week’s 1-0 defeat to Ajax behind them. It was the first time they’ve failed to score since the 13th of September and they’ll be looking at the Cambuur back four and licking their lips. Cambuur failed to score in their 2-0 defeat to Vitesse last weekend as well, but even without their manager Peter Bosz, Vitesse are hard to score past with just 17 conceded all season.

 

FC Utrecht v PEC Zwolle

Sticking with the Eredivisie for the final selection this Sunday as FC Utrecht are one of the in-form teams in the league and they’re hosting PEC Zwolle. FC Utrecht obliterated Groningen’s unbeaten home record, smashing four past them last weekend. That made it five consecutive games in which they’ve scored and seven in eight. These two are the 5th and 6th highest scorers in the league with 65 goals between them so far this campaign. Both teams have scored in the last four games involving PEC Zwolle and they have now scored 11 goals in their last four matches. They’ve scored in all but three league matches this season and kept just four clean sheets, they are a BTTS backers dream and complete today’s football tip.
