Both sides progressed to the Fourth Round of the FA Cup after beating Championship opposition. Bournemouth named a whole new starting 11 in their away win at Birmingham and West Ham scraped through with a 1-0 home victory against Wolves. It wasn't the finest performance from the Hammers, but that victory extends their unbeaten run in all competitions to eight games, winning the last three. As for Bournemouth, their victory means they've only lost one in the last nine in all competitions, so with both teams getting results this should be a cracker of a game.

 

The Cherries have completed the signing of striker Benik Afobe from Wolves. He didn't play in the Cup tie against West Ham as his move was being completed but he should make the squad for this one. He'll be a great signing too, he can score and he can create for others and I think he'll score enough to ensure Eddie Howe and his men are in the top tier next season. Now he's back West Ham will offer more of a creative threat. I think he'll start and I think Andy Carroll will too. He came off the bench to set up the winning goal in that Third Round clash and has scored in his last two Premier League games. Carroll has never scored in three in a row but I think he could achieve that here.

In the reverse fixture back in August, Bournemouth won 4-3 in a thrilling encounter. Whether there are as many goals in this one it’s tough to say as both defences have improved.
