West Ham v Liverpool Predictions
This encounter is a hard one to call, both sides have dropped points when a win looked certain and won convincingly when you'd expect them to get beat. Before Monday night's win over Southampton, West Ham hadn't won in eight, drawing five in a row, after great wins at Chelsea and Manchester City. Thankfully for them Dimitri Payet, one of the signings of the season, should be back for this one along with Winston Reid, Aaron Cresswell and Victor Moses; Payet and Moses in particular could cause Liverpool all sorts of problems.
Liverpool have a similar story to their season. Of the last five, they've had defeats on the road to Newcastle United and Watford and could only muster a point at home to West Brom. They have however won the last two with 1-0 wins coming against Leicester and Sunderland.
As the Hammers' injury crisis eases, Liverpool’s' is getting worse with captain Jordan Henderson joining Divock Origi, Martin Skrtel and James Milner on the missing list. Daniel Sturridge might not be risked either so Christian Benteke should start up top again after scoring the winner at the Stadium of Light.
West Ham have already beaten Liverpool in the league this season, the Hammers put in an excellent performance in a 3-0 win at Anfield, although this was before the arrival of Jurgen Klopp in the Liverpool hot seat. This should be an intriguing game, it's either going to be a boring 0-0 with both sides trying to stifle the attack of the other or a goal-laden thriller. I'm going for the latter, albeit conservatively, and betting on over 3.5 goals.

With the return of the likes of Payet and Moses, along with Monday night's match winner Andy Carroll, I think West Ham will nick this for my match result prediction. Key players coming back as Liverpool are losing theirs, along with a morale boosting win on Monday night will see the Hammers well up for this one. I doubt they'll keep Liverpool from scoring, but I think they'll take all three points as they do the double over the Anfield club.
